The japanese sure know how to make an awesome game, the story kept me hooked without getting bored. I should probably play dmc3 since i kinda skipped it.

you need to know atleast the main characters to understand the plot
the story is cheesy nonetheless but the gameplay is cool

Game isn't pure entertainment. It's a good game but it suffers from the disease of 'stupid mechanic used to artificially extend the game'.
Fucking dice game.
Fucking having to fight the same bosses in the same place for a fucking third time.

I'm not into action games much so I've only beaten the first two levels thus far. So far its been decent but I am annoyed currently by the enemies... am I really suppose to take these things seriously?

Word, I just came to the Angel Creation lab again as Dante and there were two blanco angelo's and one leader (alto?), they formed a triangle and a black hole appeared, I took Pandora and shot two rockets, all three of them exploded and I got SSS (Smokin' Sick Style)

but thats what kills me, if i wanted to play the game with a controller, id buy an xbox!!
mouse would be perfect for this game... just use the mouse to move the camera, left and right buttons for sword and gun, thumb button 1 for jump, thumb 2 for big glowy hand of doom - itd be such a kickin setup - true lazyness to port a console game to the pc, but to not even bother to impliment the best controller ever made!!
capcom being sloppy idiots aside, im actually really starting to concider joining the console tards and buying a 360... no, no stop laughing, i mean it, im really thinking about it.

True, but the point is: a console is expensive, while an adapter or a controller is cheap.
I'm not saying consoles are bad (I have psx, ps2 and n64 myself... don't really like the new ones tho), but buying it because of the lack of good controls on some ports? Just get a controller, it's cheaper and you can also use it on emulators, which is great.

Dont forget the 5th button, really this game needs a gamepad or atleast a keyboard but you cant choose the keys on the numpad for some reason.

nah id never buy a console because of lack of controls on a port i was saying id join the console tards and buy a 360 because i can see some pretty damn interesting games coming out on the system.
would never buy a ps3 though -theres NOTHING for it, all the games look shitty, and while the 360 may be a little less powerful, its got all the best games on it, and the platform looks to be getting only stronger. |

The thing is Chiv you not need to deny yourself the controller cause you associate it with consols but to tell you the truth it's to our advantage. We have a medium that is alot more open then any console out there which we can do what we want when we want and on top of that we can buy the controllers to use the pc like a consol as well so technicaly we get the better end of the stick on that. FYI this game rocks.

DMC3 is great. You must play it !
