The Snatch or just Snatch?

You have odd taste in movies if you concider those two to be that bad. But then again, we all got different taste.

the happening 5/10

not as bad as i expected, but then again i expected it to be completely unwatchable... i thought it was interesting enough for the most part... some bits were a bit unbearable though, but generally it was ok... loved seeing those little shitbag kids get blown away... fucking vandals trying to break into that house and hurling insults... loved seeing the fuckers get what they had coming.

movie coulda done with more deaths though, and also... i dunno how, but i think i would have liked the portrayal of the 'event' to have been a bit better.. i just thought the menacing 'wall of wind' thing was a bit lame... and yeah the acting for the most part, was pretty poor. BUT im not sure if wahlbergs acting was as bad as everyone says it was - he was portraying a teacher of kids, and so thats generally how those kinds of teachers behave, so it was pretty in character i thought. And as for that Deschanel chick, im not sure if it was just bad acting, or if we were all actually supposed to hate her vacant looking weirdo fruitcake idiotic and annoying character.

i wonder though... when the trees decided to kill off da people... did they kill off all those damned woodpeckers as well?

Children of Men 8½ / 10

Very cool movie overall, loved the dystopian, crumbling society. Almost felt like watching some proper post-apoc flick during some of the firefight scenes.

imo Children of Men deserves at least 9.5/10, the batte sequences were some of the most real urban war scenes I've ever seen in any movie, without any type of exageration or cinematic distortion, and the movie itself was a masterpiece, the story was coherent and contrary to 99% of the sci-fi movies who try to give you a absurd explanation to everything that is happening, this movie just focuses on the character story and left the viewer the opportunity to try to comprehend the unanswered subjects of the story.

Well when giving out points for movies/games etc., I really try to make use of the whole scale available, in this case 1-10. I find people generally are sort of leaning to the higher end of the scale, and only giving 1-4 to the horribly crappy movies they didn't like at all. But I could for example give a 4 to some mediocre action movie that I liked enough to sit down and watch it through once.

So 8.5 for me is exceptionally good, getting a 10 would require a pretty damn awesome movie, like once in a decade awesome.

Children of Men 7/10

Decent flick, very authentic and it's reality gets in your face. However the story they put in felt squandered, I wish they didn't put in so many clichés and "children are the future"-messages. Also, the main idea is that all of the world would degenerate into chaos should there be no more progeny, and only England would be "standing tall" as it were. All this, racism, end of morality and all out open wars because of no more procreation? Seems a bit ... incredible.

Regardless, it definitely was a well made movie, but I would prefer Twelve monkeys or Fight club to it any day of the week.

I also think fisk should be unbanned.

Its crap and pretty boring i say. I gave it a 4 some week ago, and i stand by it. Penis jokes and rehashed "Austin P" gags. Mike M needs a rethink and a new concept...but again I am one of those old dudes so...

Fast forwarded through it, it was so incredibly painful to watch since I couldn't stand any of the characters, only thing that made it worth it was short cut during end credits, who watched will know.
