But wenn i start the launcher.exe nothing happens,..i see the processes
running in my Task Manager...and thats it.
Sorry wenn i ask all the Time,....but i´m searching for a Solution.
I see that the most other ppl got the Game running. |
Maybe you have another problem?
DirectX 9.0C!!! ? Latest VideoCard Drivers?? Sound Drivers?
Alle the lastest drivers.
Otherwise I dont know a solution, you are almost the last one having trobbels I think. Specially now there is a proper fix.
Strange.

Is there any way to play the steam version without steam? Would it involve extracting the gcfs and using this crack?? Peace,

I reinstall the Graphics and Direct X drivers now,
and make a fresh unrar from the Iso File to my Harddisk.
And use the Proper Fix ,..copy the dll. , the overwrite the complete Bin folder with them from the fix.
But wenn i start the LAuncher.exe it comes :
"SteamStartup() Failed: SteamStartup(0xf, 0x12e648) failed with error 108: The Local Steam Service is not running"
HELP !!!!!!!! plz.....i´ve no idea anymore

How did you unrar from the iso file? Try mounting the iso file with daemon tools and copying the files to your hd. And then copy over dll file to hl2/hl2/bin and then click launcher.exe

Guide for the emporio release ::
if you open an iso file in isobuster, you get a tree with two childs (a red and a blue icon)
extract the files from the blue icon to a specified dir.
Then apply wathever ape fix (normal or repack) you can lay your hands on (available on BT)
Start he game with launcher.exe
If you get the disabled AI in the game, just type
ai_disable 0
in the console
Works 100% fine for me

hi i just installed the axpi version and everything seems to work fine but sometimes the characters seems to have a shaky leg im not sure if its a bug or its because of my settings. If a character stands in front of me then the textures of their legs shivers.
AMD Athlon 3200+
512 RAM
Radeon 9800 Pro
Catalyst 4.12 beta

IT`S WORKING......!!!!!!!!!!!!
The problem was ISOBUSTER!!!
I mount it with Dameon (thx to DEZ!!) ....copy the files to my Harddisk,
and run the Launch.exe.
That´s it, i change nothing else !!!

it's not that hard to get it to work propperly, it's just that there is allot of misunderstanding, and questions couse of all the confusion.
Emporio+Ape fix = Good
you only get the AI bug when you load a saved game, just type in the console ai_disable 0 and all will be fine again.
p.s. don't forget to:
Create a shortcut of Launcher.exe on the desktop using the -steam command.
(eg. "C:\HL2\Launcher.exe" -steam)

Okej.. I've got a problem here..
I started playing the game with emporio+ape repack, worked fine.
Now when I load the game at the end of the loading screen a get a message : The memory could not be "read"
So it's got nothing to do with the ai thingie.. somebody got a clue?

I'm pretty sure that particular character has Parkinson's disease.
Valve did a good job making people realistic.

i cant jump over a bridge because ive to bring it into the right position :\
no heavy items arround only some light blue barrels.

put them in the water. Under the bridge thing. there should be a cage. Then you can jump over it.

Pick up the barrels then dive underwater. You'll see a cage-type thing under the flattened bridge. Drop the barrels underwater so they float up into the cage. I think you need 4 in total to make it rise enough.
