Well the people on the first page havent quite tried the retails multiplayer yet as i can understand and they judged it by the demo and the very lame singleplayer Razz but multiplayer is quite fun...

Hi client, where did it say that this game was going to have a sp mode,
I have been playing this since beta 1 and it was never going to have a sp mode,

But try this

click on lan,
click on host game
then look to see where it says available games and click on all untill it says cooperative then double click on any map name then hit start hosting,
they you go a nice new mission for you,

here a hint when you die remember the waypoint you were on and keep hitting F7 untill the right waypoing shows up : ENJOY

and if you have more then one computer get your mate to help you after all it is coop and can be hard to beat the maps on your own,

One thing I don't understand about the co-op is... how do you lose? You can just keep respawning as much as you want until you win the map? That's no fun. There needs to be come kind of challenge to make the victory feel good. As I have seen so far, there is no way to lose. What's up with that?

And how come you only get negative scores all the time?

Is co-op fucked up or did they just not give a shit about it?

Well u can put a timelimit on.. and i think there is also a last man standing mode u can enable.. And the point system in coop are in Teamwork, how well do u cover your team m8's and how often do u revive them etc..

Hmm.. I'm pretty sure there was a timelimit enables (it's on 20 minutes) but it never kicks in.

How do you enable last man standing?

Damnn... lol. Last man standing would have been kick ass. It would have forced some hardcore teamwork and careful tactics around the map. Oh well. Smile

Not sure about the timelimit though, it never seems to kick us out after 20 minutes (and yes I'm sure it went over 20 minutes).

No idea, oh well.

Well about the last man standing then we can hope for a mod or something...

But about that damn time limit... it worked fine yesterday when i played Advance & Secure.. hmm maybe it's a bug in COOP:?

I got two problems with this game:
1) I can't bind the 'ctrl' key as my jump.
2) While i'm on the training missions i can't restock at the armory! Once i press use at the armory i can't press accept or cancel and i'm just stuck seeing all the weapons.

Hmmm it's kind a weird that this game dont have a protection other then the serial, previous Novalogic titles had protection...

and I'm applauding them for that. Fuck MP games with CDKEYs and CDCHECKs. The checks get cracked anyway and you can't play without the cdkey, it's lame making you put the disc in.

Yeah I hate CDCHECKS. My friend and I used to play BF: NAM a lot and a lot of times there would be like 2 spots left in the server. It has to check the CD everytime you join a server after you left one. So we'll go to join that but sometimes I've been playing in a different server so then the splash screen comes up for me but not him to check my cd and then after it goes away it tells me that it's full but he got in. Also I like playing games without using the cd cause I have a lot of games. I like how UT2k4 doesn't require the cd after the patch. They did the same thing with UT2k3. Protection is just a pain in the ass. If they don't want the average joe to easily copy the game they should just put a simple protection. No matter what it's gonna get cracked.

Patch available.

Notes:
Quote:

Medic revives now work in Co-Op.

Got letters of enemy command points to display on respawn screen

Waypoints now work correctly in Co-Op. They now auto-advance when users get within the waypoint area.

Added a command line command to allow the users to host without running the system test. Add a “/serveonly” to the end of the “Target” window in the Joint Ops shortcut to enable a serve only build.

Added a “distance to” in meters on the outside of the spin map for command points off the spin map.

Added in files that did not ship with the game that can be used for user created maps, in anticipation of the mission editor being released in the near future.

Added a new large map to the “M” key.

Changed the player’s square color while attached to vehicle. (Now has a white “X” on it)

Added a death animation when users hit CTRL+R.

Users can now double click the NW menu to join a game, instead of having to click “Join”.

Goals now transmit in Co-Op mode. Hit your Goals key to see them (defaults to G)
