And i often read that Fifa 08 > PES 08, but we PC Gamers couldnt care less since that only seems to hold true for nextgen-console versions. I've got a serious problem with PES 08 in particular, dont know wether its like that in previious titles. Im not good at this game, but thats what different difficulty settings are for. Now my problem, its quite simple: Difficulty Setting 2 means utter pathetic defeat for the pc (e.g. 6:0) Difficulty Setting 3 results in the most frustrating 5 mins of gameplay i had the past few weeks (8 Deuce in a row! With alot of teeth clenching) There is no way to fix my problem now is there?

Only fix is to practice, I had the same thing when I started with PES, now I beat the highest level with ease. Biggest score I've had was 11:0 or something. Dribble and do shot feints alot Also 1-2 passes. Last edited by madness on Tue, 1st Jul 2008 16:45; edited 1 time in total

but in gameplay PES 06 > PES 08

Even though the gfx in 08 are better I still liked the visual style more in 06 ... not to mention gameplay.

BTW not sure if its been posted in 06 thread but check this out guys - http://pesol.forumcommunity.net/?t=15093994&st=0 - (dont understand the text but basically download those four rapidshit files and put them in ur PES folder) - Adds some postprocessing effects, looks really good...motion blur, bloom, etc

Now I found two patches for PES 06, Evolution Patch 1.4 and ISS Evolution 07-08 Patch (based on Evolution Patch 1.3) and since those PES idiots dont seem to how to make things usable, all information is scattered through a 50 million pages thread... i hate them.
Rapidshit as well... last time i found a torrent in the midst of a thread on page 22 or something... wtf!

nobody knows how to remove the initial funds to buy players on ML right? (the 1k you have to buy a player on your created team)

In most PES titles the 3 star level is the worst since the computer is much more defense oriented (i've always thought so). So i would suggest you try 4 stars. Another thing. Play more. When i first played PES i sucked hard but then gradually you get better. Best advice is to play like real teams do. Lots of passing and use the one-two pass more.

Once you get the hang of it you kinda see things the computer is bad at, especially winged play. Also you get better in defense but the computer has the amazing ability to score in the last seconds (to draw or win).

It could end up being a Wii port just to piss us off, that'd explain the "mouse gameplay controls", you never can tell with EA We're going to have to wait and see... I never understood why they didn't just put two versions of the game on a disc, one for low spec and one for the rest, the PS2 ports can't need much new work done as they're just updates and they would have to work on a 360 port eventually

Quick question for those who still play PES6... i just got the xbox360 gamepad very nice pad indeed... but how do i run ingame? looks like PES08 supports better the gamepad then pes6...

PES has always looked poor as a spectator sport so I wouldn't infer a great deal from watching people play, you really need to be playing it yourself to truly judge. Saying that, and as a PES veteran, this video was super fucking unimpressive. I mean honestly, that was some depressingly normal shit being shown. Again; you really need to play a game like PES to detect it's nuances (especially in relation to player attributes, control - etc) but I'm not exactly wetting myself with anticipation here...

Pes 2008 online on the wii is near perfect though. The graphics are a bit PS2'ish and it's annoying how you get matched up with a random person then disconnected from them when the game is over but i can ignore those bad points as the game is so much fun.

Doesnt look bad actually. But I hope they do something with the ML, I loved playing ML in PES6 but the fatigue in your team in PES2008 was horrible and cant be turned off (not to mention AI didnt suffer from this effect making it even worse).
