I already know what I'm gonna do if they really announce D3 on the weekend: I'll get hammered in front of the PC and (hopefully) watch the announcement ceremony on youtube for 10 hours straight. Gotta celebrate the return of the best game ever. Period.
I guess I'll play D3 for another 8-10 years on and off again as with D2. Still never felt bad about dumping that much time into it, as opposed to WoW.

Anyone else like me that never liked diablo? I completed first one in couple of days with rogue and never returned to it. And D2 somehow felt even more pointless, so I only got past first boss and then get tired of it.

Same here ...
Probably I will be eaten alive right now by the fanboyz ;P but I don't see anything special in killing that same boss 30 times in a row hoping that he gonna drop ur special wand this time...

Baldurs gate style was a bit better, in fact, all these kind of games are shitty.

Not much point comparing with 'real' rpg's imo, Diablo was always more about collecting all the phat lewtz than nice sidequests and engaging storyline.

I always thought and probably always will think, that the diablo type of rpg is the best.

Planescape: Torment, Fallout 1 & 2, Baldur's Gate 1 & 2 etc. In action rpg's the emphasis is on the action, rather than roleplaying your character.
