What..can you play Multiplayer online...they haven't cracked that...please...Halflife 2 does the same...this is a real threat..wake up...someone might crack this, but I think this is the biggest threat so far to the warez scene.

For some reason
When I play single player. I can run 1152x768 HIGH on everything and it runs smooth
but
When i play mplayer I can barely run 1024x768 on Low.
Can anyone give me a solution
my specs are:
Sager5690 Notebook
3.2Ghz P4
1024 mb of RAM
ATI 9700 Pro Mobile
And yes I have the latest ATI drivers.
If you wear a selafone suite, people clearly see your nuts.

My connection is fine..I got cable. Ping was below 100 on average at least.

So funny how people can say buy it its worth it , 1 year ago when they delayed it I heard shitload of people saying I wont buy it cause gabe and valve is fucking with us , now 1 year later most say buy it is worth it , well yes maybe it is BUT I when I spent money on something I want something compleed when U buy it in store its not compleed U have to logon to steam to download the last what 4% of the game , what if I wanna play it again in 5 years can they promiss me or give me warrenty that I still can play it in 5 years ? , when I buy a car I hope I get one with 4 wheels and not three (now dont come with answer like there are cars with 3 cause U all know wtf I mean) , also it cost here 60 euro , I repeat 60 euro pls comeone thats way to much specialy for a game that is 96% compleed on the DVD , so gabe , valve , vivendi if u sold this game for 30 euro then sure I would buy it but 60 euro and only get a box with a dvd in it and not even a fucking manual or whatever is pathetic only thing U get is a sheet telling U how to install the fucker and if U bought it on the first day U could not even play it cause steam fucked up , O 1 last thing U worked on it what 5 years and u not even managed to fix the stuttering problem for people that have a audigy card ? nice going , ow sorry got also good new its still a amazing game . only price is to much .
what everyone thinks of my little story well suit uself I dont care if people flame me.

I have cable internet connection. And my ping was average below 100 when playing. So I am sure that is not the reason. But, I am playing on wireless internet. The router though is just 10-15 feet away though.

Ok heres what ya do about the shuttering I asume you me a pause here & there, I did everything about trying to fix that prob, the only thing that help me was defragging, I still get it but much less. I think its reading the cd and a nocd crack would fix this.
I have know idea why you would complain about the price, many other games chock and cost the same.
Farcry had amasing jungle and colour, but I think HL2 has the better GFX |

Whats with this Qontact guy going off at me. Im not bitching, im just saying that this is a game that should be bought. I download games aswell, but if it is something which has had alot of effort put into it, and lives up to the hype, then its worth supporting the makers and buying.

Well, I think of all the games EVER made, this is the one that absolutely NO ONE should buy!
1. It forces steam on you and I don't want it.
2. It requires online activation to even function at all, which means a few years (maybe only months, who knows) it will never work again because there will be no steam server to connect to.
3. If steam fails, your game fails. Fuck that!

this game is amazing , when u play it is like u r in a diferent dimension, difernet world , diferent univerce, the graphics r amazing, and i am playing it on ti4600, cant even imagine how it would look or run under fx or 6800.
ps: emporio fix did it.

This is the first new release PC game I have bought since Daiketana. I think I made the RIGHT decision this time.
Okay, so 70 bucks is a bit much for a non tangeble object, but heres how I look at it. I have downloaded hundreds and hundreds of games. Some good, some meh, and some horrible. So 70 dollars for hundreds of games isn't so bad.
I promised myself I wasn't going to buy it and just get the warez version. Then 9 PM rolled around monday night, and I just couldn't take the anticipation, so I went to steampowered.com and blew my money.
So Steam installed flawlessly, the game downloaded and installed in record time (never seen my network go above 200 KB/sec, but steam said I was downloading at 2.1 MB/sec, wassupwitdat?) and the game is absolutley beautiful.

Anyway, I was dissapointed with Half life: Source. Basically there's no changes except a few sound effects, and reflective water. But thats about it. Same textures, character models, architecture, etc.
Anyway, I was pissed as soon as I saw the emporio release, cause I was like "DAMN! I knew I should have waited and got it for free!" Then I saw this thread and all the problems and crap that most people are going through, and I feel a little better.

whats the best place to get this game right now? i can get it from futureshop for $60 CAD (which is about $50 US). i think that's the bronze package though, but really, i don't need the things that they're offering with silver and gold.
good deal? or can i get it cheaper elsewhere...
