I am new to xbox 360 i've tryied 2 games so far gta4 and halo3 on 1080p on console dashboard and games look mediocre, so am i missing the upscale online update? or the upscale stuff comes already with the xbox?. I havent logged in xbox live yet for updates. So please let me now if games can look much crisp with this so existing update.

halo3 is a hd 420p title and nothing , even up scaling can change that it looks horrid , on 1080p it even has more jaggies then ever , the same with GTA4

So should we set our console to 1080i or 720p to have the best quality in games?

??
halo 3 runs natively at 640p just like most of the ps3 games
setting 360 to 1080i will be optimal visual and perfomance wise

The best option is 720p! Not doubts on that.
Most of the games come with a native resolution of 720p. Need to say no more...

this is stupid, i just bought this console for gta4 and now that bought my second title halo3 all i can say fps is pathetic with a gamepad and graphics sucks on my Sony FullHD 40', aiming with this control is hard as it gets.
Long live PC GAMING, there is no match por PC titles, i am enjoying at least gta4 and maybe force unleashed but for FPS is freaking me out. I just downloaded Bad Company demo today and i ask myself this. How can they spoil such titles on console that cant handle gameplay and graphics so mediocre? anyways... that only applies for fps, for third p shooters there is still some gameplay value, but at least they shouldnt lie to themselves and start making those games for pc, is not like they aint gonna loose some money because of piracy, all they have to do is make them for pc too, and they weill get their money for such magnificent titles. GTA 4 should have been released for pc the same goes for ForceU and other fps. They just spoil everything just for their monopoly. What the hell happend to Condemened 2?
THIS IS LIKE EATING BELUGA CAVIAR ON A BURRITO AND DRINKING CHAMPAGNE ON MUG!.

maybe u have rather high demands?
i have to agree with u on bf but there is many games that look great on hdtv even on 720p
u should try Darkness, Bioshock etc

yep!, I heard Bioshock does look good its a shame for BF tho, and GTA4 but i musnt compain, at least i can play the game and dont care much about the upscale or jaggies, gameplay just kicks ass, but want PORTS!!!!!! oh wait not ports!  i want them for PC straight out.
