Is FS X really that good? It's like...12 gigs or something isn't it?
(I'm on a 1.5mbit connection...that's around 180k)

This is something that i can't understand, i remember playing flight sims ever since the zx-48k days, and then on my first 486 pc. They were good considering the lack of processing power available but i would see simulators on tv which obviously used much more powerful dedicated hardware and think, i can't wait for home computers to run the simulations at that quality but even the best flight sims these days look crap.
Played the latest MS FS last year on a new computer and it was so choppy and slow it looked like i was playing something from 1997

Take in concideration that the whole world is modeled in the MS Flight Sims.
In the future we'll have super graphics in the flight sims too.
I hope they build the new FS in a whole new engine which is more optimized than the one they are using now
