Looks good. I loved the previous game, but it was too ambitious and didn't receive all the patches that it needed.
I notice there's a patch for 2020, but the readme file contains a huge list of features that are still missing/broken.
Epsilon: Game is great btw, I love it, so far it's a definite goty. It's remarkable how much has changed since the beta, stardock have been working their asses off, and it shows.

Geeze this game is hard for me and it seems so slow. Also what the heck is up with the states in the UNITED STATES be selected independently? I played as my state and found I didn't even have a alliance with the rest of the states. So if the ruskies decided to invade me I would be all on my own...
Another damning thing is the bugs and the combat system. I found that when I built many structures within citys the game just crashed. So this lead me to a real financial problem with not being able to produce as much goods as I should be able to... Which lead me to have to declare war on my neighboring state in hopes of getting more trade able resources ... They had less than half the ground forces and no navy and my forces got creamed! They took half of my state over and I just said fuck it and quit. What the hell is up with this game?!

Is it normal that the game is incredibly slow when zoomed out a bit?
Only time it runs relatively smooth is when I'm fully zoomed in, which isn't very helpful.
Just wondering if maybe I got a driver issue or something.

The overall game-speed is ridicilously slow. On very fast, a day lasts for way too long. I'm not sure I'll buy this game in this state of readiness. I'll just wait for GPS.

Ok just tried it. I still think the game is overly complex. I took the time and did all the tutorials but I'm still confused lol
And I think battles should be separate from the main game kinda like in superpower 2, if you get in a big war the amount of units on screen makes it such a mess..

I used to play Hearts of Iron and Europa Universalis so I don't find it too intimidating, but I can see someone who didn't play any of those games or similar ones before to get scared off by the complexity of this game.
It's really a niche game for a hardcore following, not a mainstream game like command and conquer or something that anyone can pick up and enjoy.

Is there a way to change the government type and is there any difference between communism and dictatorship?

Damn the game keeps crashing on me like crazy. Also I keep falling into debt because of the bug I posted above. On top of it I found a new problem.. my finance advisor clearly stated that I should be making a profit (i raised taxes to full and took out all of the people assistance funds such as education) yet I was still losing money and couldn't seem to make a profit. The only thing I can think of is because once Ontario delcared war on me and my army was auto deployed. I made peace with them right away and my units refuse to go back into the reserves they are stuck outside and my defcon level is stuck @ 3.
I am simply having way to much trouble with this game.
*edit* Also how the hell can California attack Massachusetts? It sure the hell wasn't a naval attack and I never saw any ground forces attacking Massachusetts who was my ally. The game seemed to just make up a attack to cause a war that made no sense. Besides all of Cali's forces were busy with a war with Mexico.

Game is running smoothly here, no crashes at all. The game appears complex at first, but a few hours in you'll probably be wishing it was even more complex. Would be nice to have some more control over stuff like immigrant policy, etc. Takes a little while to master stuff like inflation and such though.
Anyway, there's some strangeness in the game, like how the US( and any other countries ) would trade me all their technology and unit designs for cash, and I'm Saudi Arabia. Other than that there doesn't seem to be happening all that much in the game when you're not in war, so it really could need a faster speed setting.
