Let's hope so! The old Pirates was one of my most played games ever!
Sid, hope you didn't screw up this one!
The vids and screenshots looked fine.

According to the movies this game involves many types of playing; rts, role playing, fighting etc... Looks very promising. Just finnished hl2 and may get bored of vampires depending on how long the "campaign" is...

Yeps, me too, I loved that game. If the remake is only half of what the original was (back then that is) it'll make a great game still, laddy.

Sounds like fun. Does anyone here remember Pirates Gold released during the mid 90s? Although this game was exactly the same like the original one on the C64 it wasn't that much fun to play. I can't explain why, the graphics were updated, but the gameplay was untouched and still the "feeling" was different. I played the first one on C64 for months, but deleted the Gold version after a few weeks from my hd. I hope this doesn't happen with this remake.
