OMG
It is one of natures little creatures. Look at his chubby cheeks packed full of seeds. Chipmonks are actually being replaced by the Europeen Squirl who is outcompeting them for food. Two animals can't share the same niche.

You have to admit that is a good close up tho. I want to get a close up of a black bear.

In Poland... In order to buy a GT in good condition we have to go to Switzerland. Here people buy them for fun and races, so a second-hand one is probably not a best choice. Anyway, a Forester turbo is quite cool too - people do not try to race with you on every traffic lights. And, for a cost of about 2.500 EUR you can tune up the performance up to about 230 bhp what basically turns it into an Impreza.

I went on a great hike the other day.

Round trip 13.5 km
7 hrs (or should be)
High point 1220 m (4000 ft)
Elevation gain 580m

Lindemann lake 1 stop and Green drop lake the final stop.

This was was a super easy hike for beginners and for the most part the true incline is at the beginning of the hike. Once you reach the first lake the worse is behind you. I would love to do this hike as a overnight hike with a pack but I don’t have the gear.

This is prob. one of the most scenic hikes I have been on. Prob. because it is on the easy side so you have a chance to look around and see things.

The beginning of the trail is really beautiful because you are hiking in a small flood area within a valley. The trees are mostly deciduous and their leaves really spread out and the sun shins through the leaves so everything is tinted in green. The river/stream is a very clear glacier run off with a light sandy bottom. The river is tinted in green as well. You can see right to the bottom and it is crystal clear. You can smell the rich earthy soil, slightly sweet with skunk cabbage.

You get to cross over the creek on a hiking bridge.

This is a picture from standing on a hiking bridge made of logs.

This is a a shot from the bridge.

For the next part you are along a stream. The cedar trees are really beautiful. Some fell down onto the path so you have to go under them. One tree had a pile of sawdust under it, carpenter ants. For the most part you are still following the stream.

When the steep part is done and you reach the top, the river fans out and the current becomes slower. At this point you are sweating like a pig and there is nothing more you want to do but jump into the water and take a fresh swim but don’t let the water fool you. It is really cold.

Once again you can see the blue tint to the water. No muddy bottom, no mucky reeds.

When you get to the first lake, Lindemann lake looks like this.

There are tent pads for the overnight campers. There are about 2 or 3 at the lake. Only one was in use by a family. A dad and 2 sons.

I haven’t seen these types of pads before. I usually camp outta my kayak in remote areas. One nice thing I saw was that there was next to no garbage on the trail or sites.

As I hike and my pack gets lighter with me eating my food and drinking my water I pick up other peoples garbage. Their wrappers anyway. Anything that doesn’t biodegrade.

This isn’t a good picture but these mountain peaks are referred to as “The Gargoyles”. Over the years the snow and ice have carved them into very sharp and angled peaks.

Picture from across the lake

This another picture of the far end ofLindemann Lake. If you look you can see the fisher dude guy in the belly boat. He was the only guy out there. Talk about peace.

This is another shot of Lindemann Lake around the far corner. You have to go through a lot of stuff like this. Rock slides. Some of the rocks are really big some are small. I call this ankle breaker terrain. If you rolled your ankle with a heavy pack on your back you would be fucked.

Around the far end of the lake you get to walk on this cool little bridge.

The hike to Greendrop isn’t hard at all. At one point we got a bit lost because the trail was washed out but basically if you follow the river you find the trail again.

I found some cool polyphores (fungus) and we also came across some snow. The snow pictures sucks, it is dirty.

This is Greendrop Lake. Greendrop was nice but I liked the first lake better. The better camp site for Greendrop is off to the side but Ididn’t take any pictures.

I did however take a picture of this cool baby Gardner snake I found.

thanks guys Very Happy

I had the snake in a better position before but the camera focused on the body so the head is blurry. Totally harmless. We have water snakes that bite but I don't think they are poisionous. Before I pick up a snake I trap it's tail. If it is a biting snake it will turn around and try to bite you. You have to let them move freely because if they feel threatened they pee on you and it really stinks. Snake pee is hard to wash off and everytime you go to eat something you smell it.

We have quite a few hikes like that about 1-2 hrs away. Some of the trails that are closer are really crowded. I want to do this one but it is overnight. http://www.env.gov.bc.ca/bcparks/explore/parkpgs/garibaldi/ I might be able to borrow someones gear.

That's a lot of money for a kitten but then again I don't know much about pets since I am not a pet person. One thing I do know is that if I were to ever get a pet, I would never buy one while there are so many abandoned pets in animal shelters waiting to be adopted.

Sirrocco cats are natural born nut cases so yes, birds, rats, hedgehogs even. You go too close when they are sleeping and they wake up grumpy you will regret it Very Happy

In the wild these cats rarely show themselves, often living in the canopies of forrests.

Also if you are thinking of buying one buy from a proper liscenced breeder, as the rescue/sanctionned ones tend to be to ferral and will either run away or wreck havock amogst your home, even kill the other cats, they are EXTREMELY territorial by nature.

I wouldn't get a cat unles I lived in a apt. I had a wolf a while ago and she was wonderful but animals like that can have some bad habits. For example because she was a pack animal she always had to be by your side. She was fine at home but didn't and couldn't adjust to new surrounding.
