WTF is wrong with this patch.

Half.Life.2.OFFLINE.ACTIVATION.PATCH-oWNAGE

I downloaded it , and tried to apply , because game fucks up at the beggining. And patch shows me a message like " Tu peux t`brosser Martine" when i click
PATCH hl2.exe instead of a window when i can browse for file hl2.exe , like in
nfo.

"Just click on Patch HL2.exe , search for the file and apply
Have a nice game! "

Can somebody help me?

Or say at least what does this shit about Martine means? Smile

If a game is not warezed it means noone gives a shit to get it even for free... from that point of view warezing is a nobilitation. I will warez HL2 especially because of this steam shit and "internet registration aimed against pirates".

Steam is good. It leads to more money for developers. Don't disguise the fact you just want it for free with bullshit reasons.

These are no bullshit reasons. The developers already have enough money. It is me, not them, who needs more, thats why I am getting the game free. And besides, they will not even know this, so it won't hurt them.

STEAM alone is reason enough to warez it. Having to dig for a CD was bad enough, now you are forced to dial up mommy just to install a game you just bought? I don't think so.

Maybe when you develop a ground breaking game you will deserve that money. Unfortunately you haven't so you don't. Also, although the figures that are released regarding money lost to piracy are bullshit, they apply more to games like HL2 considering if people couldn't download they would most likely buy it so it does directly hurt the developers.

What exactly is the problem with this? They aren't sending any personal information. If your internet or steam is down you can still play the game. The fact is there is no tangible reason to hate Steam other than the fact people don't like the idea of having to connect to play/authorize.

There were problems with the whole Steam authorization thing but that is to be expected considering this is the first time anyone has tried something like this. I think Valve should be applauded for even having the guts to try it. It worked perfectly for most people.

Personally, I thought it was great being able to play the game the instant it was released and everything worked perfectly. I preferred it to having to go to the store and buy it but I guess that is a personal preference. Once the problems with this technique of distributing games are sorted out I see no reason why it shouldn't be used more.

It will depend on your system configuration, the influence of the moon on the earth's currents, your political affiliation, what deity you pray to (bonus points if it is an inorganic substance), if the cowboys will win another superbowl, if you're fluent in more than 3 anglo-saxon based languages (bonus points if you can comprehend Sanskrit), and whether or not everyone is just having one of those days.

For some people it works.

For others, it does not.

STEAM is reason to warez it eh? That GREEDY company, how DARE they want to earn money from a game they spent YEARS to develop! THEY SHOULD BURN IN HELL!

Jesus man. You're retarded. STEAM is an excellent idea. With it, there is less need for printing CD's, I for one LOVE the fact that I can lose my CD, lose my serial, and wait, I can still log onto steam and download any game I've paid for. It's incredibly convenient.

I hope valve finds all the users pirating this and sends them to prison with slippery soap bars...

You need to have morer in your life to spend money on because many of us dont see why we should pay for a game that could turn out to be total crap. Not worth the risk in mine and many other peoples opinions.

As for the comments on ground breaking game. SO you think its ok not to pay for the many games that turn out to be rubbish but you should pay for the odd good game? A little bit hypocritical tbh mate.

And get real, the people who download games, WOULD NOT BUY IT if they couldnt download it. They would just download the next game and forget about this one or borrow it off someone else.If you are someone, like me, who downloads all their games you would never buy a game just because you couldnt download it no matter how good it is.

Yeah im babbling on and on but really just sick of people like you who think that game companies deserve to charge the rediculous prices they do. If this game cost £15 it would be worth buying but £40+ NO WAY!

I agree with your point about it not being worth the risk to buy a game which could well be crap. I had this same argument on this forum about Doom 3 and I said it wouldn't be worth the cash. However, for a game like HL2, there is virtually no risk, it is basically guaranteed that it is going to be quality.

I don't think game companies deserve to charge the rediculous prices they do. I think they deserve to charge the rediculous prices they do for games like HL2 which are brilliant and are worth the cash.

Also, if you think people who download games wouldn't buy HL2 if it wasn't cracked you are living in a dreamland.

Also, how the fuck is it hypocritical to say a decent game is worth the cash and a poor game isn't? Download all the shit games you want but when a game like HL2 comes around which only happens extremely rarely you should buy it. Perhaps if you did games such as HL2 would come around more often.

What he said.

I hate those inflated prices and all the parasitic middle mans profits and Steam should charge the wholesale price not the inflated price.
