Right I finally got this downloaded and burnt .. guess what it didnt work on my Xecuter chip! I really really wish the groups would patch to retail before they release stuff .. what, it takes 10 seconds at most, and saves me a wasted dvd-r! Yes I should get a newer chip, yes I should have checked here before burning it, still makes me mad though!
Anyway I'm reburning and off to play it - already played the PS2 version so lets see what a sloppy conversion they have made of it ..

who played both versions? PS2 and Xbox?
Coz i played XBOX today and i`m a little disapointed.
I was expecting something like WE7 International for Ps2, in fact a little better with the ref on the pitch and better ball physicis.
But what i got was a game who feel a step backward.
Also who feel the WE7 for PS2 was better good looking? the Players models seems to have lees Polygons than before, why is that?
Maybe this is coz is a beta or maybe the WE8 for PS2 is like this (i didn`t play it) so i can`t compare the both but i can compare to WE7 and if WE8 is like this, then i think i`m dissapointed on WE Producers.
If not then i`m dissapointed on the Port they did.
I have hopes, since this was a Beta but i don`t know.... seems very final except for some bugs i don`t expect a complete change what so ever.
any feels the same? or someone who played both could tell me if WE8 for Ps2 is like this?

why is this version a beta ?
everything works, i played the whole day,
training works, there are field textures.
there is not written somewhere that this is a beta.
so is this a beta or not ?

it doesn't work for me it boots up ok and then asks me to press any key to continue but it doesn't respond to any buttons i press. i was wondering how to fix this

Everything works fine here except after 2x extra time and i have to do a penalty shootout i cannot choose a direction ... but during the 90 minutes i can.

indeed,
this is a 100% beta, I checked the default.xbe file with a hex editor and it says testestestest
also, when you go to the training mode, and do the shooting tutorial. Then there's the image of the directional pad missing.
penalty's in normal time are OK, but after extra time the team switch controllers...

Yeah ive scored one too now! hehe i think the goalie was a fault though he never moved! Ive heard that there is a bug with the free kicks since and that it isnt like that in the final version (ps2). The Ps2 version however has been critised for too much slowdown and lack of "smoothness" which isnt present in this beta. Im so glad i bought an xbox! got the converter for the pad too as the black button on the xbox controller is too much of a pain to use. I hope you will be able to edit and customize the game though download patches etc. On Pes 3 for the Pc you could choose the audio tracks thoughout the game (mp3s) if there was someway to do it on the xbox that would be sweet.

Dude!its beta like hell!
its online 70% beta! hence the replay bugm graphical glitch, penalty bug and goal keeper bug.
there is also 85% version which is Live enable only for journalists.
the retail version will come out in 1 week or 2.
