All those GBs of WoW downloading and patching were pure fail I believe. Let's forget that ever happened and move on to the Lineage 2 or Guild Wars trial help.
I'm counting on you guys !
EDIT: Oh, I forgot about the disappointing "battle" in WoW. What was that gay auto-attacking all about ? I wanna hack&slash with my mouse o.O ... not just following the monsters around trying to keep in range.

Yeah I suppose for easy-paced grinding the whole point 'n click would be more suitable, but later on for PVP and raids I'd really recommend WASD, it's pretty much mandatory (mouse-clicking on skill buttons is a big no-no, only noobs do it, remember ).
Stats you get from leveling don't mean squat anyway, it's the gear that defines your character.
And as far as company goes, you can always do a /who Undercity (or any other zone), or /who 11-17 for those level ranges etc. to find someone of your level to party with. There's usually someone who's happy to join you.
Oh and good choice on the warlock, played one for over 2 years and they're all kinds of pwn. Remember it's the master class, and others are lowly peasants.

warlocks are so OVERPOWERED CLASS
all the kids play them...
it takes really skill to play a mage
well you can play with mouse in PVE but in PVP..its alll about space bar and WASD
and auto-attack sucks...white crits dont mean anything at all

Any recommendation for a hack'n'slash Diablo 2 MMORPG experience ?
I'm trying out the Mythos beta and I kinda like it. Anything else ?

Mythos is pretty much as close as youre going to get to a Diablo II'ish type MMORPG.
Dungeon Runners maybe?

l2 and gw play exactly the same (mechanics). You should wait for a Age of Conan trial to experience some different game mechanics (as i've heard anyways). |
If you mean moving and shooting yeah, l2 and gw are pretty much the same, but otherwise they're pretty different. Gw does feel diablo-ish at times, you get little mini-flashbacks to a d1/d2 feel, but other than that, isn't going to fulfill your wishes. A lot of things that made d2 great won't exist in an mmo in the same manner.

Dammit, this very disappointing. I need some multiplayer (preferrably isometric) hack'n'slash awesome action. Guess I'll stick with Mythos for now, cause Dungeon Runners seems very sucky sucky.
Well, I can't understand how so many ppl pay a subsctiption and sacrifice all those hours for the WoW/L2 borefest. It looks dangerously BORING ! I'll uninstall it before the trial is over. Now that I think about it, I wouldn't play WoW even it if it were free.
Thanks for the help everyone, if anyone has more ideas plz post'em.

Go to gamesites200, you will find a lot of "trial" servers. Some are really great, like with very high xp gain which will give you an idea how the game works and if you like it. I recommend ragnarok online, a very fun mmo, all characters are sprites but environments are full 3d. Has lots of classes, lots of equipment, you distribute points you gain after leveling yourself (agility, str, int, luck, and some other stuff) and just fun. I think L2 is very fun, but not on normal super slow leveling servers. L2 is all about pvp, and those high rate servers are great, since you level quickly, buy your equip and then go pvp. But also there are better weapons you can get by farming some stuff if you want.
Cannot recommend AOC because of the state it is right now. A lot of bugs, all classes are very unbalanced (a healing class pwns right now), pvp is kind of lame with jumpers (people who jump around you to avoid your directional attacks), a lot of stuff just isnt working like some skills, stats on equipment, some areas. Check back in few months, and i think it can be a great game.
Sig too big. -Nothing is too big for Fedor. Expect a nasty armbar.

L2 and GW are very diff... well ok, dunno much about L2, but GW is heavily instanced. You pick a team of 8 characters in a town and then go outside questing/killing stuff without anyone bothering you. It also has a lot more strategic combat system. You can only take 8 skills out with you at any time and choosing the right skillset is mandatory. That is also why you rely on your teammates so much. They bring what you cant and vice versa.
I own all 3 chapters and expansion pack for GW. My favorite online RPG/instanced MMO (is not really an MMORPG like other games). I think i may have a 7 or 10 day buddy key for GW somewhere. You get access to all the games but the bad thing is it has an hour limit it imposes as well. I do not remember exactly but it was something along the lines of: 7 day trial or 10 hours trial whichevers shorter.
If you still want the key, PM me and i'll send it to you.
Edit: Also have a 14 day unlimited L2 key that came with my Nightfall CE if you want.

Thanks for all the offers, but I'm trying out Lineage 2 on a free server. I like it way more than WoW. Those trials might be useful to someone else, though.
@ IvanGrozny
Mythos is in closed beta and undergoing HEAVY changes. I got an invite from a fellow nfohumper a few months ago.

btw. Did you ever give Runescape a chance? Although I'm still looking for a more action/teamwork based rpg, I've been hooked on RS for over 2 years. If you have not tried it, then you should. The depth of the game is pretty amazing. Graphics may seem outdated, but they are having a major graphics upgrade next month.

Guild Wars: terrible, Lineage 2: bad, WOW: better than the previous 2 pretty addictive but not that great anymore. Runescape nah... Honestly don't bother with MMO's the are a timesink and none are that great. There is this new one called conan though but you need an 8800 and a core2 duo or quad if you wanna play it.
