Check this out. Its smart slick and VERY VERY powerful, but of course it comes with a silly price tag. If I had the money I would not hesitate, this machine is just pure hi-tech art.
DL Omen Spec PDF

If you are in to slick hi-tech design, man this is your thing. Alienware in all its stupendous $ glory, the Omen is da shit.

Only thing I really hear through all his stuttering and repeating that was remotely interesting was the pipes running throughout the chassy. Everything else has been around for quite sometime. He was amazed with the screen? C'mon, touch screen displays for PC's been around for a few years now, and no one really has them because more than most people have theirs on the floor.
The case is nice but I don't see a whole lot going for it.

As a designer, I just love the case itself, simple and super clean. I still don"t understand why more manufactures understand the BIG reason to why ppl buy Mac's, it's because they look the thing (performance/features excluded)
'Less is More' is a pretty worn out design idiom, but for me when it comes to PC cases, it could not fit better. Most PC case manufacturers try to out beat each other by adding more and more weird and pretty tacky exterior and interior features, The latest Asus case is a good example.
The Omen is well designed, timeless and has a super layout, cooling to the max and its all hidden....bloody brilliant if you ask me.

Agree, Lian-Li is has understood this market very well...still they could go to the next level easy. For example, the Armour Suit...is till to 'bling bling' for my taste. Lets put it like this, if Bang&Olofsen would build a PC, it would stort a look like the Omen, and I would just go fo it 100%. Unfortunately it don't look like you can buy only the Omen Case, you need to buy the whole concept...unfortunately.

Well...
What we do is Sketching and working in Alias (3D virtual models) and then we have "Clay Modelers" that interpret/collaborate with us , basically sculpt the shapes we have drawn or done by 3d Data in to clay (its a special clay/plasteline made for the Auto Industry). So, no I don't have the hands on metal craftsmanship this would require. But sure I thought about it many times, at least make some designs and build a prototype. You know what...It sounds like a project. I might just do some PC Case design for the next week or so and see what comes out of it. I might even post it here (Copy right issues and theft considered) Not a bad idea man...when I have some time over.

the internal design of the case, and the way everything is flipped looks pretty cool. thats cool that everything is vertical so heat does not get trapped under things. that screen is pretty stupid though, also I don't want to know what that things costs, probably more than my car...
