As per title, can I use a backup copy to do the hack? or does it need to be an original disk?

It needs to be an original disk, mate. Well, unless you've got a modded Wii.

Modded = Backup or Original.
Unmodded = Original only.

Yup! Have fun, bud! With this new "hack" -- the Wii just became my console of choice for emulation Smile

I love being able to add games to the VC that weren't normally available. Playing FFVI on my Wii is fun!

I honestly don't know :\

Was looking on GBATemp to see if anyone had managed it .. but only two people claim to have. One claims it works but refuses to release his hex info for injecting it -- and other was banned for posting a link to the WAD file (and nobody was willing to risk their Wii on trying it)

I've no doubt it'll happen soon enough - the game is insanely popular and people WANT their Wii/4Player Goldeneye ^_^

From what info I can gather, it seems injecting it into the Mario64 file is the best one. Though I admit I'm completely clueless about how it's done, lol! All I care about is IF it works! Very Happy

Forget about injecting it, just wait till P64k gets properly ported, then you'll have network multiplayer Smile
