i got the same.. reinstall the game and DONT install the patch, thats the only way to play it.
Some error with the patch. |
LOL! Try this:
1. INSTALL THE GAME.
2. DON'T Crack after INSTALL. Let it unpatched/cracked.
3. Run the offic. Patch/Update.
4. NOW you can apply the NOCD Patch/Crack over it. (1.02 Crack)
It runs for me. You always need the unpatched original .exe File for updating.

I ran the patch to get to 1.2, and installed nvidea's driver update. the graphics issues are now fixed, but the sound is still hosed. someone posted earlier that the sound eventually corrected itself and then disappeared altogether. mine never did that. i really dont understand how so many people are bragging about how good the sound is when mine is AWFUL.
I cant find anything anywhere about it anywhere.
any ideas...(?)

Kinda funny (for the Ati users it is).
A cuple of years ago the ATI drivers sucked ass and that from Nvidia kicked ass. Now it's the other way around on 50% of the Nvidia drivers I install my windows gives and error and I have to swich back to the old ones else my comp wont start windows..... Shit man when did Nvida lost the magic?

Got the patch and crack.
Installed both.
Game runs okay, slight lag at times.
My problem.....no save games. I have 3 in folder but the last 1 is back in the jungle taking the hilltop.
I have played thru that and am out in the rice paddies trying to get to Lt.s vehicle. Should have saved (it said saving progress) but it hasn't.
Anyone else?
Oh, I'm playing hardest setting also...that might be it?

Grrrr, I hate games that do this especially when you get 1/2 or more thru a level and have to shut down for whatever reason.

You see red Blood spreading. It's enough. It is no Soldier of Fortune. So no GORE. But red Blood. you can turn ON/OFF BLOOD in the Options.

After playing for awhile, my over all opinion is that this is a better than average war FPS.
GFX are v. good
AI enemy aren't all robotic friendlies...get in your way
Sound is good
Albeit a linear gameplay style, it isn't all that easy. The save function I brought up earlier can be annoying if you fight for awhile and then die, having to restart back a ways.
Wasn't greatly pleased with the MP demo and haven't had a chance to try this as a "valid" cd key is necessary.
Overall opinion...if you like FPS, then you will probably like this. Remember, Doom3 was supposed to be awesome and it has very linear gameplay.

How the fuck do you pass that beach level? Where you storm that beach after dismounting from the helicopters. NBo matter where I go i get blown to bits after clearing the first bunker.

You need to goto the first bunker hide in there and take out the RPG's.

Also, I get a pretty bad framerate. I got to play on 640x480 with everything on low with the exception of shadows. I can play Doom 3 with higher settings and a better framerate then this. I have:
AMD Athlon 2500+@3200+
Asus A7N8X-X with latest bios
Radeon 9600 Pro
Western Digital 7200RPM 80GB 8MB Buffer
512MB OCZ EL PC3200

take out the RPGs from the first bunker? How? I don't see any RPG's from there?
Do you have to use any mounted gun etc to do so?

You got to come out of the bunker somewhat. they'll be ahead of you slightly to the left. After you kill the first few RPG's then you will end having to take out some more.
