You can buy either on D2D or EAStore. I tried using proxies allowing HTTPS on D2D but it was able to detect my country of origin so the transaction was canceled. On eastore, on the other hand, i was able to buy the software and get my cd key. Problem is i can't download the software using EAdownloader. So i'm downloading the D2D version torrent and i'm gonna try installing it using my legit cd key (wished there was a post on a newsgroup..but coudln't find any so far).
People on different forums says that it works. Will see.

I'd love to buy it but don't want to get fucked on the IP checking thing. So is it possible to get it from EA store without messing with proxies or not? I want a CDkey and to download it. Shit if I'm paying for it I want full service.

Well, the only question remaining is: Is the activation region related?
On the official forum, it is stated that people from europe won't be able to activate anything before June 6Th. A few people were able to activate it without a glitch. So i guess that as long as the regional activation servers are out, it is possible to activate the game using the US/Canada server.

I used a proxy to buy it on eastore but i don't know if it was necessary.
i also changed the setting of my account from France to USA and gave a legit US address and postal code. I also removed the bonus free comics from the cart.
FYI, i wasn't able to find a good proxy so i registered on that site to get a free trial with their proxy :

BEWARE! You are only limited to 1MB transfer so get everything ready and stay on eastore only. 1MB was sufficient for the whole process.
*EDIT* DevilLee -> Register to get the proxy address and authentification or use your own. Using a proxy on IE/Firefox is pretty straightforward. HEre is how:

And about your question about the legitimacy of this, i wouldn't worry much. You are doing that to pay for a product after all.

My guess is that the server is hardcoded into the game, US version = US region server.
Since the US version is out it'll activate for anyone, anyhwere in the world, unless they're blocking us on our IP.

Well if you read the thread you can manually add the files to your favorite download manager, perhaps the keys may even work with the D2D version if you got that downloaded.

Various people told that they were able to activate the game. But on the internet, who knows if it'sreally true.
