Our local distributors, 1c, they block torrents in russian trackers for d2d version. Guess this is the protection for russian release (instead of 10d registration).

If ME had a offiline activation imbuilt ie over the phone one, it would be beliveable, not now though lol unless ME does allow telephone activation (Highly doubtful as it requires internet activation)

So I'm probably gonna buy this game anyway but I don't want to wait for the Eu version to be released. But I read on Bioware forum that if I buy the game (with a proxy or w/e) and then tries to activate it it won't work since apparently the Securom activation servers are regional and the ones in Eu aren't up yet. OBVIOUSLY I don't belive the mumbo jumbo comming from a Bioware employee, so anyone in Eu can confirm that if I buy it I can activate it?
And if the servers are regional how can I use a "proxy" or w/e to make the auth server belive I'm from the US?

Sure you can use a proxy. Just pray tell, how will you force the activation to work through a proxy?

There is a program called sockscap that forces an application to connect through a proxy. But i didn't need to use it. I'm in Sweden, and i bought the U.S. digital version, and i can play it fine. Either there isn't any online activation, or there is but it works from Europe anyway.

D2D normally uses their own verification where you type in a key to unlock your download and bind it to your hardware configuration so it's probably not like the standard SecuROM edition. (ActiveMark or whatever it's called was used previously, unsure what's used now.)
EDIT: I'm also looking for that keygen since I'm interested, I'll see if I can find a NFO or something but it wouldn't surprise me if it's something else or doesn't work, don't really matter as noone has uploaded the game yet from what I can see. (A bunch of fakes only ranging from 1GB to 7GB in size from groups like Deviance, Razor1911, NY Group and Reloaded.)

Ehh same here. I was expecting problems starting the game cause of activation but it didn't ask for anything. The only thing i had to do is to enter the serial at the beginning of installation. |

And as I said above D2D uses their own protection system most of the time with their own keys so you would need a retail version uploaded to test this (Or the retail exe atleast.) however feel free to try the program with the D2D version but I don't expect it to work. (That doesn't mean it won't work however, won't know until someone tests it.)
