I think he was cooler and a hell of a lot funnier when he was doing reviews for himself. Banging out one every week cause he gets paid is watering some of the reviews down. Put it another way EAifying them

thats a tad harsh... there was a couple of weeks where his reviews were kinda dull, but lately theyve picked up again quite nicely.. i liked the oblivion one.
but the haze one was pretty weak...oh well... theres always next week. |

I like this guy. He's dead on regarding the meaninglessness of game-play trailers, Bethesda's tendency for "looks good, plays bland" etc. He pretty much nailed everything on the head.
The industry is heading more and more towards consolidation, consolation, anti-creativity, pro milking cashcows with shitty sequels. Sad state it's in these days

yup
i'm with him with nearly everything but the godawful halflife2 series he so much praises
these days only skeptical assholes are the one to stand with
like the french negative fallout3 preview
it's the only prereview that pointed out issues that actually matter when you get to play the game
much of the same issues that made oblivion Suck after the novelty wore off

ah damn , why the hell is the escapist sqeezing in some bullshit nobody is really interested about after the review's + adding some bullshit title sequence with hardcore rock music ? i really liked older Zero Punctuation reviews before they became more commercial , with new tracks every review .

Not really. He's still pumping gallons of bile where he sees fit.
Having an ad at the end and avoiding possible law cases for copyright infringement hasn't changed that, and that's the bit that's always really counted.
