wow engine still sucks in mass pvp and cant handle ~100 characters in zone (tbh conan cant handle too)
wow content is endless raid pve and neverloss arena pvp ... it is really sucks
lol at "no bugs" comment ... there are many bugs that allow you farm some raids with 2-3 toons
big lol at smooth perfomance of 2004 year game on 2008 computers ... are you joking ?
also what about eve online ? it has far more content than wow and no bugs and perfomance / graph >>> wow

Age of Conan is alot more fun to play than WoW, in my opinion. The polish and end-game content will come with time.

- wow is 3 years old , aoc 6 days
- the launch of wow was a disaster , 75% of the user , had trouble to make a account and the wow servers was off
- wow was buggy too , the many patches in the first months , had make wow playble
the aoc launch is better. the game is buggy , yes. a no mmo game is bugfree at the launch day. |
No offense to you Juba, but i couldn't agree more with fenri's statement, there is hardly a game released these day's that is bugfree, that is a matter of fact, inconsistancie's get ironed out in time, nothng is perfect on day one dude, you could atleast give it the benefit of the doubt juba. |

yes but wow isnt on day one. if you are totally new to mmo wow is the best choice to cut your teeth on.

Have been playing wow since beta 2004 till march 2008 , me and my wife quited because the game became boring , however we where die hard , hardcore raiders meaning raid like 6 days a week and on the off day we offcourse did some old T4 raiding or Karazhan for badges just for fun .
We have been thinking about AOC however since 3 days we back in WoW because we had our friends there.
We had to start over with new accounts since I sold 3 accounts (me , my wife and son) for 1200 euro total (not bad for a game  ) , anyway we dont mind starting over cause we did it all sofar up to end game BT .
Sunwell I will see one day i`m not bothered about that , right now we play wow very dif then before and its still a good game and with the upcoming expansion i`m sure we still will have fun.
About AOC reason why we didnt took it like I said we found friends more worth it then a new Game , however I`m sure AOC is and will become a very good MMO and maybe in near future it will grow , no MMO is bug free not even after 3 a 4 years (look at wow ) , about the launch both games had probs and both companies will do what they can to make it bug free , AOC and WoW are 2 dif games IMO , so people must stop whining and claiming how a game can be better cause its only better if you like one of the 2 more but saying out loud that either of the game is better is bullshit.
Just play the game you like more and have fun and keep the e-peen talking in you pants.
(just my 2 cents of opinion)

I play AOC to kill time between WoW raids.
The WoW launch WAS better than the AOC launch technically, speaking unbiased. WoW came out a lot more polished than AOC has, and the balancing issues weren't even close to what AoC has.
Of course they will make it better over time. They released it because funds were becoming short and needed an influx to start developing the game farther. Its got potential to be a fun game, but not even close to a WOW killers unfortunately.

I was wondering whether someone who has access to the AOC forums could help me out with something, my account doesn't activate for the forums and the Funcom support sucks balls. I was wondering whether someone could maybe make a post on the forums about it as I don't have access so i can't get help/attention for the matter.

if your having issues like that with bugs they maybe it's your hardware config cause with my current setup I have not had this game crash on me bug out on me or anything of the sorte. I'm not being a Fan boy either I just think there is alot to take into account when experiencing the bugs. For me I have had no problems no delays. It's just shitty luck for some of you & I feel bad for ya as it's a very enjoyable game.

new to mmos? buy wow.
bored of wow? buy aoc, expect bugs, shitty performance for non nvidia users. in the end it is the same as every other mmo on the market, fantasy based, grindfest. However, it has a high number of fanatic fanboys, you have been warned.

I personally think its really fun, its more action based, has better graphics then any other MMO i've seen and you can tell they really did put alot of work into it.

I really wish people would try to follow the basic rules of MMO.
If you aint patient and have not tried a MMO launch before, NEVER EVER begin the first month in a MMO you really wanna play.
It will be buggy, it will take time to restore, there are priority lists so your big issues may not really matter much unless it's gamebreaking, the GM's are overworked the first while.
I have had some issues too, I got kicked from my own guild where I was GL from, I have been stuck in a zone, seen the 0.00% immunity and so on, but all in all this is one of the best launches I have tried in over 10 years of MMO's, and that includes games such as AO, WOW, DAOC, Eve, Tabula Rasa, FFXI and many others, they all had whole server crashes, loop crashing, broken quest that would crash the player and much worse.
If you think the bugs are bad and you still wanna play, quit for a month as someone above said.
