So what you gonna pirate game only becouse activation???YOU ARE NOT BUYING ACTIVATION ONLY BUT A WHOOOLE GAME YOU KNOWN !? |
Sounds reasonable to me. They try to fuck us over with DRM, we abstain from buying. If for example the EU version only has disc-checking, I'd buy it. If it has online activation or StarForce then they can kiss their 50€ goodbye.
HiCZoK.Std wrote: | So you just found and excuse to download game... right.
If you hate fucking activation so much whats the problem ??? Download crack or get facking 360 version ffs.
Damn people stop acting like a kids.... |
Not everyone is stupid or young enough to own a 360. I don't see how that makes us infantile.
HiCZoK.Std wrote: | I will steal that car becouse it dont have electric remote padlock and I have to use my fucking key everytime I want to drive.
come on guys, be serious. You can download the game for TEST if there is no demo but nothing more imo. |
You, my friend, suck at analogies. But if you feel like buying a Porsche with a wheel clamp attached, go right ahead. Just don't try to tell other people that pirating makes them a douchebag, on these forums no less.
HiCZoK.Std wrote: | I known these are pirate boards but... ohh welll..... |
But what? You seem to be on the wrong board, go peddle your rhetoric on the bioware forums.

same here , didn't completed it on the x360 because i didn't liked the texture pop ups and the go 2 meters loading..for 30 sec.. we talk for 3 min, cut scene loading..for 40sec.. we fight for 2 min , loading..20sec. he escaped loading...30 sec.. 2 min cut scene loading..40 sec...
was kinda annoying , still don't get it , they have a hdd so , why they don't use it to speed up the loading times ? the same with Lost Odyssey those loading times where awful on the later discs

You have to admit the 360 is aimed at a young audience, you know, the ever prosperous males age 14-24 and all. That's not hard to figure if you look at MS' strategy and marketing. If you're older than that and own a 360 then congratulations you still have your youth about you (I never said that was a bad thing).
If you bought it because you said to yourself "Hey well if the games blow at least I'll have a HD-DVD player.... almost" then you're a chump or just tend to give in to impulsive buying (which is what MS is aiming at). If you bought it as a half-assed pseudo media center then you're, again, a chump.
If you bought it for all the 'console exclusives' then consider yourself tricked, as it turns out very few titles are exclusive.
To balance it out;
If you got one because you like to play party games and whatnot with your friends in the room then you might as well go with the regular Xbox or PS2, but still, not the worst reason.
And if you got one simply because you can barely keep your computer up and running and have trouble resolving occasional hardware or software issues and just don't feel games are worth the hassle on PCs, then, again, you might have made a good purchase. Although if you're one of the many with overheating and all kinds of issues then you might have been disappointed.
All in all, they're very different systems, even though consoles are just specialized and stripped down PCs, but they're just not as versatile as PCs, and don't offer enough perks and exclusives as to warrant a separate and closed-source proprietary system. In other words, whereas earlier consoles actually stimulated innovative and solid gameplay, modern day consoles just try to stifle it through licensing and endless mindless sequel cashcows.
So again, if you own a 360 you're either part of the aforementioned group between 14-24, and/or an impulsive buyer, or you just fell for MS' honey trap of marketing and unkept promises. I won't hold it against you, but I will trash talk MS over it.

I'm 27 and I traded my 8800GT for it.

I use my Xbox1 as a MediaCenter -- there can be no machine better suited to the task other than the PC. No, I didn't buy it because of the HD-DVD player - I despise all this current trend of "HighDef" bollocks.

I acquired my 360 because of the games, yes, and not because of the exclusives - because nothing stays exclusive forever (except Dead Rising.. grr)

I've got a PS2 already thanks. And a SNES. And a DC. And a Wii. And a PS1. And an Xbox1. And a PC. And an NDS. And a GBA. And a Supergun. I buy machines if the games are good. I, personally, like most of the titles on the 360.

My PC is in tip-top condition, thanks. I'm not some silly little newbie who doesn't know how to maintain his own PC. I'm not going to bother wasting my energy listing the qualifications I have, because frankly; it's not worth my time.

Unlike the Linux cocksuckers in the world, I don't give a rats ass about "closed source" - so you can forget THAT this instant. I'm of the camp that believes a good product is worth paying for. You'll never hear me bitching and moaning about "open source" because, as far as I'm concerned, developers who spend thousands of man-hours working on code -- have EARNED the right to charge for it.

Neither thanks, you fail.
You want to know why I got my 360? Games. Games and the ability to play them without needing a new upgrade ever xxx days/weeks/months. I download or purchase a game, I put it in the drive, it plays. No hassle. Nothing.
I have the ability to get titles months before they hit the PC, if ever. Such as; Assassin's Creed, Mass Effect, Fable 2, Dead Rising, GTA4, The Darkness, Force Unleashed, Ridge Racer and Lost Odssey-- and yes, while the PC versions invariably look and/or run better, I don't want to have to pay a premium of a "nice" year long wait to get it.
Don't preach to me about getting a console. It was my decision and you have no right to criticise me (or indeed ANYONE) about it. I still have my PC, it's just no longer a primary concern anymore - not after the six-monthly buttfucking nVidia and Intel like to dish out, and certainly not after the constant delays and cancelations of PC titles. PC gamers get nothing, console gamers get the games now -- and PC gamers *may* get them a year later. Maybe.

You're taking this very personal aren't you. See if I care.

I don't think you understood what I was saying. By closed source, I mean one has to pay license fees to even develop software/games for it. You can't modify console games, and third party content is not allowed. If that weren't the case these GTA IV bugs would've probably already been fixed by some Chinese or Russian basement hacker
This unfortunately also means that when your 360 fails in a few years time (and, all the components being lowest bidder ones, that will happen) and MS won't return it all the games you've accumulated for it will be unplayable. Though some people don't give two shits about this as they only play games once and only the latest.

You say you've got a dozen consoles, don't you? How is that different from upgrading (oh and if you put together a decent PC it'll last you for YEARS).
If you got it for the games, well, then we have differing tastes, which is fine. As I said, you're part of the group that doesn't think it's worth the hassle, again, fine.

That swings both ways, but I'll concede, on average, PC gamers need a little patience for AAA titles (though of the ones you mention, only one or two are actually decent games, and the rest has yet to be released). There are many developers which, through pressure, end up releasing stable betas on consoles while polishing the title for PC release. And then there are crappy console>PC ports which weren't even interesting to begin with. I prefer the polished games, with all the perks PC gaming offers. In the end it's a subjective choice.

You're making presumptions and generalisations. Of course it's personal. Basically; from the evidence presented here, I'd say you were either 14 years old and your mummy didn't buy you a console, so you're bitter about it and just lashing out at those who DO have one -- or you're in your 40s and bitter about my youth.
Diddums.

I don't think you understand me when I say; I don't give a toss about your opinion. It's no more, or less, valid than my own -- yet you didn't see me forcing mine on anyone else. That makes me a better person than you.

And PCs don't fail? Components don't burn out and die? Awesome, you must remind me to tell my customers that. They must be mistaken.
As for returns, MS have a 3 year warranty on the 360 now. If it dies within that time, I get a free replacement. After the warranty? I'll just treat it like a PC component; I'll replace it. The only difference is... the 360 costs £149. A decent CPU for a PC costs more than that.

My PC did last me years, except the GPU -- which lasted six months before nVidia phased it out with FOUR new GPUs. Unlike you, I actually pay for my hardware. I don't get mumsy to do it for me. I don't particularly like throwing money away, call me crazy

You're doing it again. It's a magnificent technique you have there, kid. Simultaneously concede and then insult on the same line? Impressive. Hassle? I've been a PC-gamer for 17 years. I doubt you've even been alive for that long, so don't presume to know what hassle I consider worthy or not. I acquired my 360 so that I no longer have to worry about;
A. Waiting for shoddy console ports
B. Waiting for decent titles
C. Upgrading my CPU/GPU everytime a new game comes out
