The right part of the screen is looking much better but you can still see spots but its not very noticeable. But the "N" button on keyboard needs to be pressed insanely hard for it to work. Also, SHIFT+P does not work. The only way to get a capital P now is with caps lock turned on.

But the 2 lines are still there. Bright as usual. I dont think the lines are ever going to disappear.

Well I told her that I can take the screen apart and try to fix it within the next few weeks. Shes totally cool with it now. She doesn't seem to be mad at all anymore. They (family members and mom) were actually laughing it up because of the soap. Not like a "haha theres soap in my laptop" but more like a "my son does dumb things" sort of laugh. But I cant blame her since this 1 thing was definitely my fault.

But anyways Im just glad that Im still alive.

Your so damn lucky I would have strangled you till your face turns purple then released you till you catch your breath and do it all over again till I cause some brain damage. While not leaving any marks on you and then leave you by a open can of paint Call 911 and say my relative is unconscious and seems to have been getting high off of paint fumes.

Lol I wish I was joking but this crap lines are still here dude. And I clean electronics all the time but they never malfunctioned so how was I supposed to know! But yes I agree what I did was stupid and I have definitely leared my lesson.

And SycoShaman, I have no money man. My income is $0 since I do't have a job. But its okay shes really really fine with it. She even bought me a heatgun to fix my xbox360 on thursday. But I will still try to fix this screen in a few weeks (not with the heatgun lol)

But ayways from now on I will think twice before I do aything

Perhaps you don't need to replace the entire laptop, maybe the screen panel can be replaced... Anyway, this is a great incentive to find a job.

My mother purchased a new laptop a few days ago and let me have this one. The lines are still here but you get used to them after a while

I took it to school today. I always have to take a little mouse since the touchpad no loger works...

I was waiting for the teacher and this girl was waiting with me and so I let her use it to check her grades and she was like "what are these lines?" and I told her about the soap and water thing lol but she though it was pretty funny. She was like why soap??

But yea the screen isnt much of a problem its just the keys that are really annoying. Gotta press some of them isanely hard for it to work.

You forgot to hang it out to dry, that's why it's messed up Very Happy Seriously, why not just throw it in the tub, add some bubbles and let it sink in for a few hours, only way to get rid of all the dirt (and functionality of course).

Well I finally restored my PC today so I no longer use the laptop. It feels so weird not seeing a red line going through my sig. My eyes got so used to the red and blue line that it looks strange to me without them.

Especially when I look at sigs its like my eyes are trying to draw the missing red line.

Oh god that was the worst. I still have this laptop by the way so if anybody really really wants to see whether those lines are still there, I can check Laughing but Im pretty sure they are still there. They were when I last checked in 2009

Also, this was just a mistake. I have washed the screen of that laptop before this particular incident but the water never seeped in through the sides so everything always worked perfectly fine. Oh mman I still remember this night, I was freaking out like crazy because it wasn't even my laptop at the time Laughing
