Yeah NoFace really justified his reason's for not liking this game. First off if it looks like shit then you must have a shitty video card. Honestly every MMO has it's pro's & con's and the only thing I can do is to recommend buying it & trying it for yourself. Its the only way your really going to know if you like this game or not.

Do you mean can you pay in Dollars or do you have to pay in Euros?
As far as I'm aware on every mmo I've played (it's been loads) you can pay in either. Unless you're wanting to play on American servers. Then you'd have to buy the American version. However I could be wrong. I've not got this game.

ye thats the question...
lets say i bought the europian version.. can i pay the monthly rate using dollars instead of euros?
6 months USD = 77.94
6 Months Euro = 65.94
for me the USD is much cheaper than the euros

Possibly depending on where you live, I think you might be punishable by law if you avoid the VAT by paying in dollars..

I will be handing out buddy keys when I get my retail copy. I will not be giving a buddy key to shadowx.
Feel free to request a buddy key.

"Age of Conan DirectX 10 support dropped for launch
...Funcom has regrettably announced that the DirectX 10 version of its MMO, Age of Conan, will not ship with the initial launch. Funcom says it has decided to ship only the DirectX 9 version and spend more time on building a DirectX 10 version "worthy of Microsoft's great vision for the future of PC gaming".

A quick question, is the world worth exploring or its very generic? Like in the first 1-20 levels, since its like SP, are there any chests, caves, and you know usual SP things? How do you get new weapons (for example strictly drops or only buying, or mixed?). And once you get to lvl 20, is the world completely open to everyone, or will you still be in instanced places with just a few more people?
Thanks.

there are SP bosses and a storyline, also split up into mini instances, underground the city, a volcano and whitesands beach. its not generic no, the whole starting area for some reason is based on the pirate port tortage, well it IS the pirate port tortage, so you fight pirates at the start.

Thanks.
So i take it there are no chests? And from videos ive seen, its seems like everything just drops money, so you'll have to buy it, and im guessing to get the best weapons you have to kill and kill untill something drops it?
Also how long did it take you to get level 20? Is it very slow (ala L2). It seems like the game doesnt really start untill you are 20 and since i dont have a lot of time, i wanna know how quickly i can enjoy everything it has to offer.

I was in the beta, and there it takes about 2 days to get to lvl 20. I'd say around a week if you play causual.
About instancing: Every part of the world is a instance, but it's not like guildwars where it's only you and your party outside the city. Every "instanced" zone can contain +200 people, and if that limit is breached the game will spawn another instance of the same zone which is a indentical copy.
I think it works well and you do not really think about it because you see people everywhere. The world feel alive and not like in GW where it felt barren.

Thanks Holy.
But the beta is still on? I thought the game comes out tomorrow, the 20th, why is the beta still on? Also are you getting anything special (in retail game) if you played the beta, like you start from higher levels, or special items, or you start at lvl 1 as everybody else?
Edit: Damn, it sounds awesome. Might have to buy this one. Just a quick question, when you buy the game, does it come with like prepaid play period, or you have to pay as soon as you start the game? Since i wanna try the game and its only $40 (circuit city is having $10 off), if i dont like it, its not that big of a deal.

The beta has become "live-test servers" they test things on them before patching the retail. Not sure how long they'll be there though.
