when i run the halo2dvd5-GGS.bat it creates halo2-dvd5-GGS.iso in like 2 seconds and is only 704 Kb ????

 edit

whoops what a dickead i am, i followed the .nfo a little bit too much like it said to do !!

renamed file to diff-hl2.iso instead of just diff-hl2, works just fine
 |

did you patch this english release or the french as diff-hl2 was the french release
just asking cause my ggs dvd5 fix isnt fixing this release i just get 704mb iso??whats going wrong can you just delete the 3 xbe files manually instead??
 |

You need to the rename the english shortbus iso to diff-hl2.iso and then apply the ggs DVD5 fix. The DVD5 kit is looking for a file named diff-hl2.iso, but can't find it.

Thanks for the info. RMFX does your tv auto flick to widescreen or do you have to press a button ?? Normaly with my xbox the tv changes by its self. Not this one though.

Same here. But it's widescreen, mate. Just switch it manually.

Sorry I was replying to richbambam as he seemed confused by the mention of diff-hl2.iso (the french release).

Why not just download an xbox iso explorer and replace the xbe's with the "fixed.xbe" file in the GGS release and recreate the iso.

What could be wrong?

 so extract the iso,delete
 dashupdate.xbe
 downloader.xbe
 update.xbe

then make an iso of it again..

 then its 4,33 GB (4 659 544 064 bytes)

oh yes..those are only files needed for LIVE

That seems to happen even in the unedited versions of the game.
