Yeah it will be a huge success, I hope it will be possible to make it portable, so you take it anywhere on your USB flash and play from there, with no installation required.
game looks really promising and probably will be a direct rival to team fortress 2.
but i bet there will be many addidtions for the game where you need to pay for as its ea.

Battlefield Heroes is leading EA’s new web-focused free to download, free to play business model which generates revenue through advertising and micro-transactions.
The keyword is microtransactions. Want to look a bit different than the other player? 99 cents. Want to have another fun weapon? 99 cents. Want to drive another vehicle? 99 cents.
I would rather pay 40€ for a full game than be part of that microtransaction crap.
There has to be sacrifices to the gameplay with the overall scheme here... As genx perfectly put it I would rather buy a title with all its features at hand insteead.

No no no. The keywords here are LEARN TO READ. It was said time after time by the press and EA themselves that micro transaction will NOT give you any advantage over players that didn't pay. They will only be for the "looks", such as cooler looking boots or whatever. EA expect that on the online ladder out of the best 20 players, 19 never paid a cent for BFH. In other words they expect 95% of players to never pay a cent for BFH and EA are OK with that.
sure looks like tf2, it still has sales tho. microtransactions. its a business after all. and noone is interested in it. hype meter is in negative for this. we can pickup battlefield for the price of a helmet in this game and get a full game instead ahah.
Juba, we get it. You hate this game. Now let the rest of us talk about the game itself without having to listen to the same old criticisms that already got said in the first page of this thread...
anyways, I hope it'll be fun, this game is going in a similar route as Warrock (other than how item shops work) and I enjoyed that game and the dynamic battle over EU sounds pretty cool.
It's associated EA, haha, so it could be a huge screwup, but Im keeping an eye out for this game from what I've seem from trailers so far.
EA and Dice are currently working on five different Battlefield titles.
(A bit much but it might work, Bad Company just shipped and I guess Heroes will be released soon.)

P.S. to all the pricks that will reply to tel me it's a repost, if it actually has been posted before: I don't fucking care. I LOL'ed.
P.S.2: If you don't get the first one, you haven't watched the original Gears of War trailer, featuring the song "Madworld" by Michael Andrews feat. Gary Jules.
P.S.3: If you don't get the second one, then you haven't played any FPS, or in particular any that has a stupid stealth mission you have to go through for no reason. Yeah, I always loved Rambo-style FPS's. Heh.
oh btw,"Madworld" was originally sung by tears for fears in the 80's and it was much better than the one you speak of
Never heard the original. I just so happen to have heard the remake in a Ministry of Sound Chill-out collection, and had immediately recognized it in the GoW trailer. The guy singing it in the first video makes a good parody and makes for a good laugh.
I'll give the original version of the song a try since you mentioned it.
EDIT: Watched the original on YouTube. I have to say, I do like the remake more. It has a more soothing, saddened feeling to it. The smooth piano melody and the vocals are amazing.
