					| So I've got GTA3, vice city, mafia and spiderman 3 installed atm. Mainly playing spiderman 3 a lot cause I can't get enough of web slinging around and going up against the walls and seem him act accordingly.
 So..

 Assassins Creed
 Grand Theft Auto
 Spiderman Games
 Mafia

I think I tried that back some time ago. As much as I hate gfx whores I just couldn't get into it due to it looking like it was from the early 90's. The gameplay was good though.

					| mmm, I should have mentioned - RPG games since most of them are free roam.

True crime was horrible. Scarface I couldn't even get to run right, all the textures were missing. The hulk got very stale very quick. Just Cause I was told is crap. Boiling Point was freakin awesome but the bugs were horrible.

					| Can't think of much that hasn't already been mentioned or is really old by now but later this year quite a few free roaming titles will be released. (EDIT: Arena, Daggerfall, Ultima serie, Wizardry serie, Might and Magic serie, Sacred, Arcanum, Fallout 1 and Fallout 2, Divine Divinity and Beyond Divinity, Gothic trilogy, Two Worlds, Stalker, Outcast.)

 Fallout 3
 Mafia 2
Xenus: White Gold (Boiling Point sequel)
Just Cause 2 (I liked the first one but it got a bit repetitive.)
 Stalker: Clear Sky
 Sacred 2
Spiderman: Web of Shadows (Or whatever it was called, unsure how "free" it will be.)
Hulk (Same as above, unsure how open ended it will be.)
Two Worlds: Temptation (First one could have been better though.)
Gothic 4 (Might be late in 2009 though, not much available about it atm.)
 This is Vegas
Postal 3 (Might be in 2009 as well, unsure.)

And perhaps a GTA4 PC conversion considering the previous titles are also on PC.

					| naturally all on-map strategy games
 silent hunter 3(+ mods)
 xcom/ufo games

 while not directly "free-roam" games, as they're limited by the linear story, but you have full freedom within the confines of the current mission;
 thief 1, 2 & 3
 the last few hitman games
rainbow six games up till raven shield
 operation flashpoint
 armed assault
 the penumbra games
 system shock 2
 terminator: future shock and skynet

					| what was the game that had like 3 islands... you started with jumping off the airplane... you also had a parachute and some hook thingy you could shoot cars at and glide after them? that was quite a good game, had fun elements (but got slightly dull overtime)

Holy shit thats a grand idea! Add some co-op play and fun death match play and that would be awesome!

Could you imagine if they put every single X-men member past and present in the game too...

This game has to be made!
