It worked in dirt, so i dont know what the problem is. And i mean what game doesnt support logitech joystick. Just tried using kb to play, and its freaking impossible to control, so i just turned around and hit someone head on causing a nice collision.
Edit, yeah i did select the custom profile (a check mark on the bottom).
For keyboard like i said: setting the steering sensitivity from 100% to 40% made the handling a lot better.
Options --> handling options --> advanced and the the second or third bar thats on 100%.
(or something like that, don't know exactly atm)
Yeah thanks, but i just refuse to play a racing game with a kb, it just feels unnatural. Just curious if anyone else with logitech rumblepad 2 having the same problem.
Sig too big. -Nothing is too big for Fedor. Expect a nasty armbar.
Is anyone having a problem with a joystick (logitech 2 precisely). I chose the custom controller and redefined all the keys. But once i get into the game, nothing works, (kb or the controller), the car just sits there. Am i doing something wrong?
This may sound dumb, but did you try you restart the game after that to try again? DiRT and this game had this problem, that my gamepad just didn't work sometimes...
Just close the game and start it again, if you've got the same problem i have
Loving the demo at the moment ... graphics are great (even with post processing), the arcadish feel is great, the races are nothing short of spectacular (especially the muscle car race). Finally, something more than just playable for us PC users.
Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 - ASUS P5Q-PRO - Mushkin XP2-6400 4GB - Gainward HD4850 Golden Sample - WD 3200AAKS (managed to fry this one, ffs) + WD 6400AAKS - Thermaltake 550W PSU - Thermaltake Soprano VX case

Say the you want to replace the BMW with the Camaro. So you rename the bmw dir to bmw.old. Then copy-pasta the cam folder. Rename to bmw. Now if you look at the original bmw folder, there are many files (including in the sub directories) that start with the prefix "bmw". So what you want to do is open all the directories in the new bmw dir and rename anything starting with "cam" to start with "bmw."

Enjoy!
jep... I recommend "rename master" (google it) for the job...
(go to the dir, press ctrl+f5, set replace to eg. bmw with gtr an press rename... done)
also found that out back with the ... though there were some more bugs... like a buggy without any wheels... reminded me of the fifth element
and even a car that was invisible -> you just saw the driver ^^

lol you're done wih the game? already ??????? jesus. ppl havent even finished downloading it yet
No bugs here, just had a 2 hour session with single player and online. Ziis it's smooth, thing I have to go 8xAA. This looks like one I have to buy and haven't even tried with wheel yet. It's not too hard to drive so that you get pissed about the game, but you have to pay attention, or you'll slip.
One corner a bit late braking and position lost online, some very fast drivers there. 1:18.34 was my fastest lap with the BMW and under 1:20 laps only got me 4th. There are the usual wrong way drivers, but you could drive easily with collision on.
Drifting might be the best in any recent game, it's not the usual hover craft thing. Without traction control with keyboard it was impossible, which is a good sign that it might be fun with wheel. Post-processing is a bit less intrusive than in DiRT, still would like a little bit less, but doesn't burn my eyes out anymore
Heh I'm still amazed by how great this game looks, watching replays is a real treat.
Online on the other hand needs some serious idiot proof tools. I never saw so many fucking retards online for a very very long time. This game is such a huge fun online but at the same time it's a curse with all those retarded prepube faggots.
holy crap this is awesome. How the hell did codemasters do this, they never do anything right. Awesome in the cockpit view, shows em shifting and hitting the pedals too!
Maxed the details out and getting like 45+FPS This is was pc optimization is all about baby!
Game supports the 360 natively btw. Changes all keyboard view buttons to the 360 as well added it to the list in my sig
No, just racing. No visual or performance tweaking. This is no NFS.
what does performance tweaking have to do with NFS? it was in racing games before NFS ever came out with that underground crap. I'm not wanting to drive on a track with some gay neons but actually being able to tune your car is fun.
