So, almost two weeks ago I sent my RLOD 360 to microsoft and a week after that I get an email saying that my xbox has been shipped, and I got a UPS tracking number, this was thursday. Well, the tracking number didn't work until today, and geuss what it says! It says they've just received the billing information and that it hasn't been sent anywhere!! This just pisses me off since I've waited to play GTA since it got leaked, and I was expecting my xbox to arrive today. Even if it arrived tomorrow or the day after I'll still be busy partying but it would've been nice to play some GTAIV.
Oh, and I sent a slightly angrily toned email to them today and I'm waiting for them to respond. IT wasn't a "Fuck you you shithole for having such crappy service" message because that's just not nice, but it explained my situation and how I was unhappy with it and that I wanted them to do something to prevent it from happening in the future.
Well, if it isn't here by friday I'll have a real reason to be angry since the email said it would take max 7 workdays for it to arrive, and thursday is not a workday so.

It takes 4-6 weeks before you receive your console.
It may or may not take that long, but thats the guide they go buy. It all depends on where the repair centre is compared to your house.

1. When the UPS guy picked up the package it was a thursday. and on tuesday it was in germany, that's 4 workdays (Finland to Germany)
2. Two days later, a thursday. They send me an email saying they've sent it back to me, along with a tracking number AND the page at service.xbox.com says they've sent it
3. So now we know that it takes about 4 workdays for it to get to Germany,2 days for them to fix it and sen it back, and it should take 4 days for it to be here, ofcourse it can take longer but 7 days is maximum.
So what I feel thtat they've done wrong here, is that they've said that they've sent it but UPS says that they have not. It might just be that UPS is after or something but it doesn't seem like that.

Don't you need a mod chip to play the leaked gta ? And if yours has it, how did microsoft accept it?

2-3 weeks max is what they quote.
I sent my step sons 360 in for RROD and the entire turn around time from when i dropped it off at purolator to when i received it on my door step was 1.5 weeks. I was impressed.

I agree that they wont care.
And a uodate to my situation: UPS is saying my xbox will arrive next tuesday, wich is kindof a bummer but a good thing in a sence since I ordered GTAIV today so I will probably have it next week(They can't send it today because I ordered too late and not tomorrow because it's a holiday here and on friday they will send it and on monday or tuesday i'll have it... as long as they have it in stock)

Well, there's nothing I can do about it. It's microsoft that says it has to be UPS. Probably because it's cheapest or something.

Fed Ex is great, but UPS is fine if you're not time sensitive.

So you send it in with the custom firmware? I got the ring of death about a month ago, but i haven't sent the xbox yet because I haven't had the time to change the firmware back. Don't they check the drive firmware?

Apparently they don't chech the firmware when you have the red rings, but maybe they do if you have some kind of DVD drive problem they will. I sent it in custom firmware and all.

took 11 days for microsoft to pick up and return my rrod 360.. and they were kind enough to send it back with my hacked firmware dvd drive... so for once i have to say.. i love microsoft

UPS are cocks, we use them at work now since they bought lynx out who we used to use. Wankers are stealing shit and all kinds of bollocks, never gets here on time and they're always ratty as hell when we don't answer the door straight away (its a retail shop, hard to tell a customer to piss off while I run downstairs to the stock room - pay them to wait 15 minutes anyway!)
