It's Nforce4, so it should be possible. The Textbook tut seems to be the best around, so that's what you should use.

Yeah but you can't flash the 79's without soldering.
I've got all the gear here to do it. But it's intricate to say the least.
Don't know if this is possible, but can I read the chip through the programmer and put the key onto another drive?

I remeber when benq was new and there wasn't any firmware for it so you couldn't flash a benq yet, so what some guys did is they took the hitachi and replaced it with a benq and it worked so it is possible to do it the other way around as well, of course you need a benq for that and these guys worked at a store that sold the xbox so they had extra parts.

You can't get the key from a 79 without desoldering the chip from it.

I could probably do it myself but is it worth the bother. I'll get the key and put it on a Samsung or BenQ.

Well I took the laser out of the Hitachi and put it into the Samsung. Then I flashed it. Worked like a charm.

It's dead easy. I was suprised how easy it actually was. Far easier than soldering the xecuter 3 on the 1.6b Xbox 1.

So easy it's laughable.
The 79's on the otherhand. I'm gonna try that in the next few days. After I get a new laser.
