has anyone checked crc's of icon release against retail yet? Dying to play but don't wanna risk ban if its not 100% match of retail.

hey guys, quick question... Should it matter what FW your 360 has? I have burned 1xVerb and 1xnoname of the game and i get unplayable disc both times. Just wondering, since its been a while since i have gotten my 360 flashed. All other games run perfect though...

Cant matter, im using the same version i flashed 2+ years ago.

Quick question guys, has anyone gotten the game to work well without a hard disk (ie. xbox 360 arcade)?
I want to buy an xbox 360 to play the game, but i don't want to spend a lot of money.

Apparently the game must cache a lot of files to the HD because a number of people complained about the popups/missing textures/etc being un-bearable without the HD. However, as soon as the HD was plugged in the issues were resolved.

Hey, When loading the Taken Out (the assassination mission thing) it just stays at loading screen...is it the fault of the DL disc? (using verbatims, havent had any problems before...).
burned to different DL disc, still the same problem :/
All fine now, did other missions, and now the assassination one is working.

Bans are never instant anyway. It could take a few weeks before you will be, that is IF you will be. You never know. |
Actually it usually takes 2 days. I never heard of it happening weeks later. I have a friend that said he has been playing it online since last week. |
they occasionally ban in waves. the last big one was in december
If there was something wrong with the ic0n or the ntsc release They would prefer to harvest as many users as possible and then hit with bans

VG Chartz has today announced that according to their early sell-through data, Grand Theft Auto 4 has sold a record 2.5 million units in its first day of sales.
Data for the first day of GTAIV sales shows that the game sold roughly at a 6:4 ratio in favor of Xbox 360 to PS3 in the Americas. While that means the game sold better on Xbox 360, it had a higher attach rate on PS3.
Sales have also been brisk in Europe, along with Chart Tracks report of 600,000 copies sold in the UK in one day, VG Chartz estimates that around 1.7 million units were sold across Europe and others on day one - the format split is roughly a mirror image of the Americas, with around 60% of all European sales being on PS3.
