Finally it's out! Very Happy
I am leeching ATM, glad it's the PAL Version, my Argon doesn't support those 4 region free cables...
Can't wait to play this with my friends. Smile

Apparently this has got those stupid friend codes as well and installs a new update, but everything still works after that...

I read on a german board, that the new update bricked someones pal wii... Cant believe it, but I am anxious to try it Very Happy

So anyone got it running fine on a PAL Wii?

bugger all on gbatemp about bricks so far . also doesn't use or have IOS37 so won't disable Trucha / freeloader

There is a scrubbed version out, but I'm getting the full in case the ripped ones won't work after an update...

but if it is the same, i can just use the same disc and put it in the wii, instead of buying (yeah, i buy console stuff) the new mario kart

Umm, After I installed the update I got a error 001 unauthorized device has been detected, with wii key. But hey thats life, was planning on getting a new wii anyway with d2c mod!

Just on mario kart wii that is, all other games still seem to work fine

I read somewhere that this errors only comes up once, and the game works fine after that...
But I don't have a WiiKey, so I couldn't tell.

Avoid #001 Error :

1. Open ISO with an hex editor
2. Go to the offset 0x40003 and change the byte from 03 to 02
3. Save and now you should be able to open the iso with trucha
4. Extract main.dol (2nd partition) with trucha
5. Remove #001 Protection from the extracted main.dol with Generic Wii Patcher v1.11
6. Replace the original main.dol with the modified one in trucha and don't forget to truchasign the second partition
7. To restore the third partition. just revert step 2.


And don`t install the mariokart channel!

i upgraded to 1.9s popped mario kart in got the 001 error, ran the config disk, popped kart in again didnt get the 001 error, maybe cos bringiton is right, that it only occurs once, or myabe cos i had to run 1.4 config i dunno, but wiikey rules Very Happy

shame mario kart sucks big time, bring on okami
