how in the hell do you kill the T-Rex? (i found the Comm thing) i have every weapon in the game and shot probably 3000 rounds at it, 200 rockets, 150 grenade arrows, 100 napalm things
he has gone down like 50 times but he always gets back up
surely "god" doesn't make the T-Rex "god" also....
perhaps i will try it without god on...

Try looking into the User.ini files. I think the mouse sensitivity is determined there.

Well, sort a fun in a linear and brainless FPS way. Graphics is for sure not up to par with any thing this side of 2007. Looks more like its using UE2 rather then UE3.
Will probably wipe it of my HD ASAP.

No, videos aren't prerendered. Don't know why it's so bid after install. Before install, however, it could be made into two DVD5 disks or even one DVD9.

"In Other News...
Got Turok PC from the Fed Ex man on Friday. Went to install, got my head blown off by loud, obnoxious, non-muteable, looping music. Being on 2 DVDs the install was going to take a while, and honestly, I'd rather watch some Internet TV than listen to looping MIDI garbage for 20 minutes. So, had a poke around the DVD, saw the music was a .WAV in a dir, copied the two DVDs to my computer (~14GB), replaced .WAV with a 2-second clip made in Sound Recorder, began install again, watched some TV, let the installer finish after ~10 minutes and two disk change prompts, defragged, finished watching my show, started up the game.
Instantly noticed that the display was bent thanks to crappy programming that put the game in 60Hz mode on my 85Hz CRT monitor (was unimpressed by my recently acquired LCD monitor, has been returned to sender), went in the options, saw no way to change it, exited the game, looked in the .ini files, found no refresh settings, Googled for Unreal Engine config lines, found and inserted the refresh command, booted the game back up again. Problem solved, launch game, realise I must have left the graphic sliders on low because what I'm seeing looks like it came from a three year old game, escape out to menu, see everything is on max (including DX9 UE3 anti-aliasing), go back into the game, play past the first section, get onto the planet, see the graphics are still terrible (2D sprite grass that vanishes, flat texture ground, no bump mapping, weird shine around characters, terrible modelling, etc), play a bit further, get very bored of samey, dull, repetitive gameplay, quit, ask the Gods to return my lost four hours, get nothing, boot Rainbow Six Vegas 2 PC, join Terrorist Hunt, murder many terrorists, enjoy myself, quit, sleep. Happy.
My arse is it worth 7/10. Disappointed am I."

The stupidest thing I found in this game is the bit when you have to first run from the t-rex, my mate was sat right next to me, suddenly he says he's found a cave at the end of the valley, vanishes and re-appears across the map, at the cave, safe from the t-rex.
This is shitty design. Also to those saying that this is better than Crysis (both Jungle based games for comparison) you really must be easily pleased when a game that funnels you through a pretend jungle with shitty 2d sprites for grass and spawning dinosaurs is considered better than the most realistic re-creation of a jungle to date, open gameplay and different approaches to the gameplay.

Oddly enough, fragging dinos with shotguns akimbo is somehow... satisfactory. I don't know, maybe I just skipped too much crappy shooters lately, I kinda find Turok overall not all that bad.
