There wasn't actually a cap in the older games.
It would display as 9,999 and stop incrementing, however if you carried on collecting it would carry on counting in the back end. You could spray bullets around without the counter going down for a bit until it went back down to 9,999.

They're only reporting that a rumour is circulating, but CVG is a pretty reliable source and could well have been given some info off-the-record. And its not like they're going to report every unsourced rumour from some website nobodys ever heard of.
Also, I think that if the console release hadn't been delayed, Rockstar would've been looking to make an announcement about the PC release around January.
I'd be willing to bet a few bucks on an October/November release.

this is undoubtedly true, but we're talking about a brand new GTA title... this will go into history as the game "that got a straight 10 on ign.com" (better than OOT). so the rumors will go on and on and on. I'll wait for a official statement. But I assume that they will release it on the PC. (I'd have to get a new tv for a ps3... so... go rockstar go!)

Damn I've played this game yesterday at a friend.
SOOO damn cool.
When you are in a car and you steer to the right, then the car is really leaning to the left.
WHen you drive a little too hard and a cop does see you, he does turn on his siren for 1 second and let you know he is there :')
When you jump out of a veryfast vehicle, you jsut bounce of the floor just like in real life.
And when you wan't to steal a vehicle that is locked, He just looks around a little bit, then smash the window and trying to start the vehicle.
And when you're car is been damaged allot, then the engine does turn off sometime.
Then if you're trying to start it again, you heere that russian guy saying
"Damn thing starttt!!" "Holy fucking hell start!!!!!!"
Sometime it does start again, but sometime you've gotta take another vehicle, smash the damaged vehicle and then try to turn it on again, then it does work .. not all time but you've got a chance.
THIS GAME IS JUST FUCKING AMAZING!
Damn Rockstar, please program fast for pc xD

Fuck.
This game is looking so fucking amazing.
That even made me thinking seriously about buying a PS3 or an XBox360.
And I never even thought about being a console. I won't even have time to play, because of the army. Fuck, this game is turning people crazy. I guess Jack Thompson is right.

Agreed, Its almost my birthday so I'm thinking about buying a xbox360 too.

But I know if i've got one, and I played GTA IV allot, Then I'm doing nothing with it anymore..

Im not sure what to do. I could wait for 12 months on the possibility that is coming for the PC...
I could get a 360 and flash it and just get the game for free..
I could get a ps3 and buy it, also keeping the PS3 for when the new final fantasy game comes out (the only console game I loved playing)
Or I could just kill myself.

It doesn't take a year to make a port, heck it doesn't even take a month, but given that we atleast know Rockstar aren't the "Compile for PC, lets release"-faggots like most other companies it'll take some more time, but definitely not enough to push back the release by a year.

They will wait for the console hype to calm down and then they will build up a PC hype and then cash in...I guess some time late summer I heard about it somewhere...its called marketing I think

every single console exclusive that has been ported to be pc at a later date, never annouced such plans until close to the PC release (or never should of). why damage the console sales by saying "if you wait, it'll come out on PC soon".

Yes there was, you could only carry one type of weapon. No cap on bullets.
The answer is yes, you can still only carry a limited number of weapons.
