Long story short, I wrote a little console app that fetches the recent dvd releases from NFOrce and checks their rating on IMDB, so that I don't have to do it myself. Duplicates and movies that don't have enough (1000) votes are not considered.

You can either download it, or checkback this thread for recent scores. I can keep it updated for a while, if there's interest. You don't need to have anything special installed to run it, there's an exe file; but if you prefer there's also a python script (provided).

Download Console Version Here (includes source)

GUI UPDATE:
Ok, I've made a little GUI, though it doesn't do anything else than the console (not true, it actually offers to save the result as txt, because a friend of mine wanted it that way...). I could add more settings to it, if anyone has any nifty suggestions. I was thinking I might add a button to auto-find it on some torrent site, although I'm not a memeber anywere... It actually looks good in Gnome, where I made it - for that you need python >= 2.5 and wxPython >= 2.6. For winders I've made an exe but it looks a lil weird. Smile I've named this new, ehm, let's call it alpha IMDBiL which sounds funny in engrussian (I'm дебил <=> I'm stupid). Blahblahblah, get your copy at

Download Sillypants GUI Here
The size is huge - 6 mb packed, this is because I have to bundle some microsoft files you might not have, and a lot of python libraries. Source is, as always - included. So reply if you have any smart ass Smile suggestions.

As long as you don't use the ratings alone to decide which movies you're going to watch. Wink Not a comment on the tool btw. Nice work Leno. Smile

Seems like the interest died quite suddenly. Maybe it's the curse of the "nobody reads ths stickies" heheh. I was going to put in more junk - like automatic search for the release on torrent trackers (or maybe a .torrent downloader /executor even) and various settings configurations... Oh well. Smile
