In the Alt.binaries.games.Xbox360 IRC Channel they have a MOD saying it will be [PRE] in about 3-4 hours for NTSC!!!

Damn, i was off the nets all evening hoping to find a release when i returned. Ah well,here is hoping tomorrow morning is a different story.

Sorry for my newbness but what does PRE mean?
I'm not a newb to usenet however (Giganews ftw). Does this mean it will be fully uploaded in four hours or that it will start getting uploaded in four hours?
edit: N/m, I figured out what PRE meant but it was used in the context of inner-scene FTP sites. How does this relate to usenet?

why would a usenet server say it will pre. I hate when ppl claim it will pre, if the group is really any good then noone know when this will happen (pre).
i do hope when i awake in the morning i can in fact start downloading though, would be nice.

I'm guessing #Alt.binaries.games.Xbox360 on #efnet
meatflower, pre is when the group who releases the game first makes it available on the sites they are affiliated with. (Basically it is when the release first begins to be traded)

Well yes and no. Pre'ing is merely an attempt to show you were the first to produce the title. It is also a way to let the scene know it is coming, and can be viewed as an "I won, you didn't" sort of thing between groups.
No matter either way. A release is on it's way it seems for us NTSC users

My blood is itching! I can't wait for the NTSC release. Waiting for this game is like an infinite tantric nightmare. It's so bittersweet seeing the vids, and seeing what the series has become but not being able to shoot a prostitute or two. I'm debating whether or not to sleep tonight. I took the day off work tomorrow so I'm hoping that the NTSC is here. I will not move from this seat, except to get beer.
