Nice video! Captured directly, obviously. Though brightness is really low.

I played for two hours yesterday and i've not even touched a gun!
Here is my mini review, or even, just some thoughts:
* It seems easy to get a 6* rating, or maybe this can been seen as just more realistic - if i kill a few cops, its at 6*
* There doesnt seem to be a helicopter available on the island you start on - driving around the airport, while fun - doesn't help you. You get a 6* rating (after a while). If you drive infront of an airplane jet, you dont get blown away. If you drive infront of the wheels, sometimes you get pushed aside, sometimes it goes through you.
* The story seems better than the usual GTA games, I feel more engrossed with it - and it is generally a much better story.
* using your phone to make or recieve calls, you can always phoen your gf and go out on a date instead of helping your cousin.. if you do that, you will later have to pick him up from the hospital and he will bitch for a good few dialogues about how you put pussy infront of family. Apparently, this also works the other way around (i.e. your gf gets bitchy if you dont take her on a date, helping your cousin instead)... I guess the respect and admiration stats for each character change with the paths you take. However, it would seem like choosing one over the other does NOT mean you miss a mission - they've cleverly designed the dialogue so that you still do the same missions, just with different chit chat.
* the handling of the cars is a bit more difficult - however i would say that this will come with practise and certainly doesn't negate away from the fun of driving around in any way.
* I've already seen sunshine, moonlight and a fog storm.
* going to "bed" advances the day by 6 hours, however you do not need to return to your house in order to save the game - it autosaves after each mission. (apparently, fail a mission and you can restart it straight away via the phone).
* talking of the phone, it works really well and adds a interesting factor into the game ... driving along and want to go on a date, sure, phone your GF.
* there is ALOT of detail in the environment, i got stuck behind a fence for a while and behind it was a garden table and chairs - something you wouldn't have seen / noticed from the normal road.
* fighting is really hard - in an early mission you are called to beat up two people - i nearly died during this - it's important to block (A) and jump out the way (AA), as well as kick, punch and "special" your enemy.
* graphically, the game looks really good. I would say its better than saints row, however I dont think its THAT much better. To be honest, Saints Row was impressive visually, and I think in some ways it stole GTA4's biscuit.
* it's worth noting that graphical slowdowns are not that hindering, and the odd frame skip is not noticable usually. its much smoother than saints row.
* the sat nav is pretty cool, and in some cars it'll tell you to not only turn left, but turn left in XX yards. this cannot be changed to meters.
* there are no load times, appart from an initial 30-60 second load. going into buildings is as smooth as it could be.
Any questions?

Only two things I object to:
- Dating is useless. Why on earth would you go on a boring virtual date with a boring virtual girl instead of playing the game? Please, enlighten me.
- Saint's Row is uber ugly compared to GTA4. In every aspect - architecture, car models, peds, everything. Explosions, fire and smoke FX too.

I think that Michelle is a cop. She asks too many questions.

Meh, stopping at a hot dog stand is 10x times quicker than going to see your GF even in a taxi.

Dating was definitely useless in San Andreas, same here, I guess.
What about buildings, that you can explore from inside? Is their amount as low as in previous games, or not? How detailed are they?

lol the funny thing is, when he is actually getting some from that Michelle chick.
She actually screams out tell me more.
so either i am mistaking and he is telling her a unbelievable story or she is just plain weird.

Nice reading some reviews.
I have a question for those who already have it. Is there a performance difference in the game when you install it on the Hard drive as compared to playing it from the DVD? Any framerate issues? Is it better to have it installed?
Also, do the pedestrians and cars disappear into the back ground when you turn away from them like in the other GTA games? I really hated that.
I have the game pre-ordered so I have to wait to find out these things.
