everyone seems to be missing the issue indicated in my original post, its less about the post count and more about a new users signing up weilding their opinions and insults as if it were gospel.

Well everyone has a opinion on every topic in the universe and nothings going to stop that. But the post count or how long they have been members has little to do with their annoying posts its much more about intelligence. Someone may come here with their first post and be right about something that you disagree on.
As for respect I think everyone should be treated with it until given a reason not to. A high post count means nothing when it comes to respect. I'm sure you would count me as a low post count "nub" however you have no idea how much experience I have talking about the matters being discussed. Your post count also means nothing to your experience about any worldly subject that can be discussed.
If a member of a forum decided to ask a medical question on the boards and you thought you knew the answer but a real life medical doctor who also happened to be a member with allot less posts disagreed with you do you truly believe your posts make you superior and somehow more correct?
Your line of thinking is elitism and not even a worked for sense of accomplishment that makes you think yourself as higher. You think just like Kevin Federline... Shame on you!

my case in point here i am slandered by a 9 poster, in a thread, which is insult free, this jackass waltzes in and sours the tone. Of course i am the target of such abuse as usual. Aim for the pink, aim for the pink. Sure he add smilies but 9 posts hes just some random taking potshots, its just plain rude!

I think it at least means that your character is obvious. I mean, after a few thousand posts it's hard to hide your real personality, because fakers will eventually reveal themselves with a lack of consistency.
