Not even the later GTAs (in 3d) have been particularly much about the graphics. They've looked good on release and they are well presented, but far from jaw-dropping which is completely fine by me. I hope performance was looked at as well, San Andreas for PS2 seemed to have rather nasty FPS drops every once in a while.
I might get this for the PC when it comes out if I can run it.

It fucking sucks that they removed food, haircuts, fitness and tattoos from the game like they had in San Andreas. Using all those things you could change your appearance however you wanted. You could work out to become fit, or stuff your face to become fat, and change your hair to any of a million different styles, plus tons of tats and clothing types. Why the fuck did they remove it!!?!?!?

Because they wanted you to experience everything as Niko. Not some fat guy with a big afro (or whatever).

they didnt removed any food. i think its even more food now but it doesnt make you fat though.
but if you want to do stuff like getting haircut and shit like that then play the sims 2 it has everything you like

It fit with San Andreas as a part of the whole gang culture aspect but in truth it didn't work so well as it was always very cumbersome in choosing between clothing (etc). Still I didn't realise they'd removed the option from this new version  I have to admit being able to choose your own clothing was pretty neat and it would have been nice for it to have still been there for those that wanted to customise (like customising your vehicles in NFS for example - it's not a feature type limited to the Sims - and will people stop using the Sims in such a derogatory way, lol).
