is fucked up by kaspersky. After a really serious issue over the christmas holidays this is the second really embarassing error they have put into their system. Randomly after 1-3 hours all the letters disappear and programs stop working.

Ever since they introduced the 7.1.3x version alot of things have gone from great to meh. Multitrack-recording with cubase sx3 is worse, because i now have to disable the file-av (which was fine before), alot of programs are sluggish compared to before and when i tried to do some video-editing everything was choppy as hell (even with file-av disabled).

I dont get it. Do they really really really want to lose their customers so badly that they have to fuck up their beta-testing and my operating system so hard?

Sad

NOD32 ftw!

Kaspersky is just too bloated (plus NOD32 beats it in recent AV tests). Razz

Any of you guys use Eset Smart security? It seems like a decent program, it works on Vista, but not on XP for me... and I tried everything...

well, i havent tested nod for quite a while, but it used to be no competition to Kaspersky. This mornings update should have cured the problems, so i wont be "downgrading" any time soon Very Happy

That's exactly why I don't use Kaspersky - it might not like 1 component in your system and it screws you as long as you change the soft or component (guess which is easier).

But then again - I seem to have a bad aura for technology.

Yeah, that because it just lets everything out.. and everything in. It doesn't bother with asking you for assistance, it just says; "ahh wth come on in guys! Don't bother shutting that door behind you.."

j/k

Nah, but seriously I tried NOD32 back some year ago, and I got far more shit back then then I do now with other AV solutions.
But that could very well come from me having different file/surfing habits too. Each to their own!

Squirrely: Now come on y'all. We can't waste time arguing. There could still be survivors out there. We need to hunt them down, and kill them.
Beary: How about we kill them, and then rape their bodies so we can use their blood as lubricant.
