What i can remember is that one the world map you can move in between the normal dots (levels) and after every 4 dots there is tents that u can fast travel between "tens". But if you want to get to a level taht is inbetwn 2 "tents" you have to play the levels in before that level, but at one point in the game u can get a "dragon" power up and he can fly you thou the level right to the end in a sec. The game use a game play there you go back and forth to get forward in the game. The game use mana and hp. And you can buy food in some "tents".
I have no idea wtf you're talking about, and I am familiar with GBA games.
So I will take a guess. World Map,Tents,Dragons,Mana,HP. Is it one of the Final Fantasy Games on GBA? Fire Emblem? Golden Sun, Golden Sun: The Lost Age? Riviera: The Promised Land?
GBA has a lot more RPG games, those are my best guesses.
It's kinda like Pokemon, the world is open but you cant go were ever you want really, you need to get an item somewhere to get throw at some places.
The game it self is a 2d sidescroller.
Kinda have a japan theme.
The dragon you can get is first a boss and then you beat it you can use it.
The game is in real time.
You play alone, no followers.
You play as a human.
by tent i mean it look like a tent it is actually just a triangles.
