Wouldn't it have been both safer and easier to grab the patch from a normal download site and then get the crack separately from gamecopyworld or similar.
(Though the crack was probably added there just recently.)

Its for situations like this I have Acronis True Image Wink Saved me so many times. Rather then fiddling with reg files and what have you, just run Acronis for 30 min or so and you are ok. But you have to back up at least once a week of course, takes about 4-5 min, no biggie.

Virus bwahahah

mini nova bwhahaha (torrent even) bwahahaha

Lordy folks come on, get with the fracking program.

Amazing how many people just cant wait for a bonified site release etc etc of a crack, I guess though we should thank all the nubs for using them cause then it rules more shit out the system lol hehehe.

Baffles me though with all the info for people these days that anyone still gets these problems..

Im gonna have to say it but "kids eh?" if your older than 20 and hit that virus shame on you.

Kaspersky pwned my fever even.

Nod32 and kaspersky are the only ones me and my buddy couldn't get a rootkit to get through detection.

back on topic...

seems the AI is a bit better in this than the first one. The firefights are even better.

Awesome game, and AI is now good. Laughing Though, fights end too quickly, because they seem to spawn around firefights, so in one hotspot you kill 5-10, and sometimes even more. 3-4 hotspot and you're done lol.

Anyone notice there's AA which is selectable in the options. How the hell did they manage to put it in there, when not even Epic's games have that option? Laughing

From what I know the 8xxx serie for NVIDIA and the 2xxx and 3xxx serie for ATI can do AA in UE3 driven titles either via driver tweaks (Such as the latest forceware and catalyst drivers.) or by having the title support it directly, it's just that not many developers take use of this so most UE3 driven titles doesn't get proper AA support.

Ah well as long as it works the technical details aren't that important.

AA works fine with my 8800GTX, its selective where it uses it ive noticed in the game engine. people and vehicles are fine and buildings generally but if u look at pylons with the wires they dont apply there much at all, but ive foced it with nhancer and a 05 AA option and enhance ingame/multi sample 16x. Which seems to do the job with 174.74 beta drivers.

Yes, but at a huge fps hit. This game has AA at minimal fps hit (like in other games).

The way I see it is,

If you avg 30 frames and then apply AA and get a "Fps Hit" as you put it, then sure it will piss people off I guess..

But seriously for a game released in this time frame of the market, 60 frames is easy as, and in that case frame hit means shit, because then people have plenty of frames to not moan about.

Now Network code for gameplay thats a different story..

If peoples machines fail to hit any decent frames on RVS2 then I will have to say they shouldnt be playing such games with theyre pc period. Harsh but so fracking true.

Dumbest post of the year. Obviously you haven't applied AA on an UE3 game, or you wouldn't be talking out of your ass. Or maybe you have some D14E (that's Geforce 14800GTX) in your parents' basement, which runs everything with 60fps with 64xAA (with the sole exception of Crysis, which runs at a whopping 40fps Laughing).

No not dumb,

First off you sound like the post was directed at yourself, well "people" does not mean you so lets get that clear.. unless of course your the sort that might think the world revolves around oneself..

Second, with your reply I'm guessing you are ill informed from all sources it seems cause what you speak of is not the case with that engine. Smile

Dig further in the world of the web and find out some more is all I will say.. I wont bother replying to you unless you decide to get on your pedestal of stupidity again Razz

So everyone with 8800 cards (including myself) are wrong when it comes to AA in DX9 slowing the game too much (yes, 30fps is too low)? Yeah, I'm stupid...

No your not wrong, ur just a little wonky on why Smile ... 8800 can handle AA fine, I think its safe to say that one GTS or GT version is not up to par apparently but heck i try not to get the mid range cards anyhow if possible, from experience to get anything good you have to always buy it seems top end at the time.

Its just not working well, with for the most part 160 series drivers. ( some seem to very flawed, whql or not.)

Nvidia continue to lock driver profiles etc etc and frack around with stuff that pisses people off trying to get nhancer and other means of forcing AA. But I can vouch that the 174.74 beta drivers which are 8 series compatible are the best I have used/tested in a very long time from those people. But they still are locking out scaling, for the most part most people wouldnt give a crap about scaling being set locked to nvidia mode only, or sometimes they lock it to screen only.

Still thats off the beaten to death track, personaly though L- e - o Smile AA in dx9 slowing games down to much? not seen anything to warrant a big problem like that here..

Any chance you can give me a game you play that is 30frames and you cant get no more from that just doesnt play well for you? Forget the UT crap cause that fly's along like shit off a stick for the majority of people, you wont see them or count them cause they dont need to post in the games forums to complain. If you catch my drift..

well you can compare maybe specs or something but this is what im running at this time.

E6600*3.2
Dominator ram 1066 is running at 900mhz its not even 1:1, think its at 4:5 ratio to cpu
EVGA 8800GTX card not touched in the overclock department.
PSU is a galaxy, giving 1000 watts.
Board is a ABIT AW9D Max

I have just installed the game yesterday and so far he is good, minus the environments graphics which are to say the least not that great and look artificial, somewhat the triggered enemy spawning, the horridly inserted story mode elements, outfitting from a box under enemy fire or while missing the view from the helicopter, etc. Some features of this game are imho implemented with great amateurism, compared to what is supposed to be an AAA game, or even Vegas 1. Smile

@ m4the0

First deactivate automatic restart on failure (run > systempropertiesadvanced > Startup and recovery > setup) that way you will be able to write down the BSOD error code next time. Now my guess is that it can be, between others, the gfx card overheating: monitor your temps with rivatuner or similar.

@ BlueSkyz

You are maybe a bit harsh about the enemy AI, sometimes it can be ludicrous with the guy just standing here waiting for its headshot, elsewhere it can be more than decent. Now for the teammates you have to handle them as if they were blind and with serious psycho-motor diseases, nothing new actually. Wink
