not sure about u but it will fit 8800 just fine

btw why would u buy vcard and then xtra cooler when Gigabyte comes with Zalman cooler already installed, it's like paying someone for nothing

note: if u planning to install heatsinks u must do it before installing cooler

of course u could've go to official web site and dLd manual to find that out for yourself but u just too lazy aren't ya Rolling Eyes

Guess mortibus is PMS'ing again.

anywho dude, you will need those lil heatsinks that come with teh cooler, your normal card cooler covers those ram chips so if you get a heatsink that won't cover the ramchips, you'll need those mini heatsinks. The one your looking at seems to cover the chips so you won't need em.

Anything zalman will prove it's worth, just make sure it'll fit on the companies website.

Dunno why you still want the VF1000 DV2. Smile Once again it wasn't conceived for the 8800GT, it will be somewhat problematic for the ram chips (if you wanna put ram heatsinks) coz it is supposed to work along the ZM-RHS88 which doesn't fit on that graphic card.

You should rather try the Thermalright HR-03 GT, the Zalman VF900-Cu or even the Zalman VF-700 (which comes on one version of the gigabyte 8800GT).

Here is a round up of several heatsinks on the 8800GT: http://enthusiast.hardocp.com/article.html?art=MTQyMywxLCxoZW50aHVzaWFzdA==

omfg... The RPM alone doesnt make the cooler, its about how it dispatches the heat in its architecture and the materials. Jeez why cant you stay open to the suggestion and at least google those model names and look at some reviews?

The RPM or revolutions per minute isn't relevant to compare fans from different sizes, a bigger fan will need less RPM to displace the same quantity of air, and of course the heatsink will play a major role to dissipate the heat. Those that I have mentioned should have or allow you to mount a bigger fan than the one on your XFX, they will cool the card a lot better than the stock fan while being FAR more silent. Smile

I've finally bought a ZALMAN VF1000 with blue LED...

why do people say it need extra heatsinks?..i've bought 8 separated copper heatsinks (taller than the blue Zalman ones) and didn't fit..

but the VF1000 came with 8 blue heatsinks, and i had 8 memory chips...where's the problem?..it's exactly the same

PD: Flawless working!...on TF2 and on MAX Fan Speed it went only up to 40~C!...without playin around 37 or less
