I actually do agree with that comment ni a way. Think about it, nearly all games that focus on SP are invariably better for SP gameplay.

Personaly, i would never buy a game which lacks MP, never, it´s not worth it. I play PC games for SP and MP, and especially MP. If i want SP only i´ll play the fucking GameCube, how lame is it to say that MP sucks? Like saying...geez...... i don't like sex.... i love to jack off........

If i want play MP i´ll go to, for example, play a football match with my friends, I want the SP above all because I´m a shitty unfriendly and unsociable... I want the Bloodlines SP, in my modest opinion; THEY CAN PUT THE MP IN HIS ASS.
PS:If there are a troika develoveper here, its only a joke  , sometimes i used to play a MP game... (and not, the MP ass game, not  )

I really like the premise of this game, but those gamespot vids got me kinda worried. Like someone previously mentioned, the combat looks VERY clunky, and I think that this has the potential to ruin what otherwise could be a great game.
Info about it seems very skimpy, so I don't think much can be determined till its released.
On the plus side though , its HL2 engine, its got a multitude of RPGish elements (7 different vampire clans with special abilities, skill points, vampiric powers etc.)
I like how they decided to go with xp points being distributed on a per goal basis (a la Deus Ex 1), as this keeps it away from just being a continual slaughterfest for xp.
However, another thing worries me: these guys also developed the Temple of Elemental Evil (which as I heard, was horridly bug ridden). Not good.
Also, only 4 main hubs, seems kinda limited in scope.
One also must wonder how well they implemented the multiple approaches to solving missions (stealth, talk, combat). If the stealth system is not implemented well, it'll prolly be hella eaiser to just go with the other two options 
I do love vampire based games though, nice to finally put humans at the bottom of the food chain (also liked AvP series for this aspect).
Rambling over, still very excited bout this though despite all the uncertainties.

Well, imo, real time combat is always better then the turn and point based combat that you see in most RPG's. Real time combat makes the game more intense, coz the victory is determined by how you act, it's not just lvl and stats. I've seen the combat in VB and i really don't see what is wrong, looks great imho. The game is gonna rock, that's a fact.

Nobody is argueing the actual combat system, we know nothing of it, but in those movies the combat isnt fluid enough, the hits dont seem to "connect" to their targets, it just looks awkward.

This game is only SP and upon installation (clonecd) several people gets missing wav-mp3 files..... also in the game and you bring down the console you will see that alot of "trace" dont find wav files and some graphics... i have problems with some quests, being lots of bugs i hope this is not the "VNGCLONE" boys being sloppy, either way this game needs some serious patching.

I'm almost inclined to say VNGCLONE released a beta, atleast I hope. The game runs like utter crap on my X800XT, alot of quests are bugged and can't be completed, files are missing, game looks like crap compared to HL2 and HL2 runs better.
Either it's a beta or Troika released one hell of a buggy game. Damn shame too because it could be a great game if it weren't for all of the issues. Guess we'll just have to wait and see whether it's retail or not, or if it's going to take alot of patching to get it to work they way it should.

this game seems great. cd1 was mounted on Alcohol and works like a charm even in my ti4200 vid with 1280 res.
trouble is that when i using a burnt cd without mounting, it doesn't work. it tried to read the cd for like 3min and failed with exe error msg.
burnt exactly followed by instruction in NFO with liteon ltr-48246s burner and I have LG DVD Rom. tried use both drive but failed too.
I think my burner is able to handle safedisk 2/3.
anyone here can give me an advice to make working?

(and also i noticed that simetimes the character just does not respond properly,.. when you press a direction,.. and than release ,.. he jist keeps on running foward for some time,.. - I konw this two problem are related,..)

ive got the same situation rekof20, about the same config. also my belief is that there is a huge memory leak prob going on. everytime i play for awhile and quit, the game takes ~30secs to quit out unless i end task. i am playing HL2 until troika releases a patch for this awesome, but bugged, game.

I think this could be the cause for the character not responding properly (couse I looked at some files,.. and it is stated somewhere that it uses like 100 percent of ram,.. and than (it probably flushes it,.. so that is why the responding is like shiet) ... Im still not shure how could this affect FPS,..

Yep, 9700 Pro here aswell and 1 gig ram 3200..game is great but I get FPS issues...dunno what the deal is =/
I know Half Life 2 runs great but this doesnt...wack.
Okay, now...anyone have tips on killing the boss that ports through the ground and summons all those little beasts that attack you..i cannot kill this guy for the life of me. The guy that made the snuff tape.

damnit..
I cant seem to get this game loading
all i get is error messege "vampire.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close"
Error Signature:

Doesnt work in Safe mode either
any suggestions?
