the spanish release it's multi, because ubisoft don't translate their version(english) to spanish, and i mean the sound of charaters! usualy the games that release in spain, france, portugal and others in europe only have the game text in the same languge of the country if you want! so i guess the release in sapain is a multi release like the other release from other games released by ubisoft !

Let's face it: we're going to have to wait until its sequel for Assassin's Creed's to truly be iterated upon. But if you haven't played it yet on consoles, it might be worth holding out for the PC version. Look for our review around the time of the game's release on April 8th.

Nobody knows this about the final version. The bars were smaller for you because you have a widescreen monitor.

Ive sort of read this thread a bit, now and again just to keep an eye on if there is another release out etc etc, but i notice people mentioning this widescreen black bar thing...
I am running a 8800GTX with a samsung 22" 226BW widescreen, I have never had the black bar stuff with assasins creed, and running at my native res for the game. Nada, Zilcho, Black areas. full 1680*1050 ... ? I have no idea why ur all seeing them with widescreens etc...
Drivers: first used 169:21 is it ? the Whql ones from nvidia site. I am now using 174.70's for the 9 series cards with moded inf. And they are the best ive used from nvidia in the last century lol. Well they dont fricking release whql ones often enough so it feels like its been a century.
cheers.

There's the Russian release and the English release, both are pretty similar aside from the language but the Russian version doesn't have the two damaged forge files so the game could be completed with it.
(Random crashes still happens now and then though, not for everyone but I've read a lot of posts with similar issues.)
I've tried both and those black areas are still present but I don't see them as a problem due to their small size though it would be nice to get rid of them.
That glow however is quite annoying and it would be nice to be able to turn it off.
(Highlighted characters during combat and similar.)

No you are not. I put the because everyone keeps repeating the "black bars" are due to the game not being gold.

Works like it should here on Vista x64 and service pack 1 is also installed.
(Both installation and the game itself so perhaps it's something with that specific build or the computer it was installed on.)

another one hahaha of those hard cased people that don't get it that Vista 64 was only made as a media editing/programing/graphic OS not a game platform OS ,
but hey now people will bitch now with they lame 4gig argument |
as opposed to the one person who thinks a dx9 card will emulate dx10 effects in vista?
