WWII movies not so much about the war but rather about the ppl and the time during the war. Any tips most appreciated.
I saw the The Counterfeiters (Die Fälscher) the other day and I would class that as one of these films.

6/10

goddamnit, it started so ok, and then it took a stupid ghost ship-ish 180° turn and completely ruined. Dunno, i saw the theatrical version intimid xvid, but the end was so stupid, last 20 mins. Opening the door for a sequel bah bah bah. Were there other versions?

Yeah that was really boring. I thought, that you recommended it, so I saw it some days ago. And NO I don't look for blood. The movie wasn't scary enough. And the director wasn't capable to make it any good. You seem to have a good taste at movies watergem.

hurray, my new 'worst film of the year'!!!

if youve ever wondered if a director could be more inept than uwe boll, and make a shoddier film, go check this one out.... im not even kidding, youve got to see this film for no other reason than to prove to yourself that you aint seen the worst levels of filmmaking yet!! every film, even the bad ones, will take on a golden glow after youve seen this shit fest.

atleast it does have one redeeming factor...

Good idea, but it is not well made.

The End (happy) sucks.

I watched Sleuth with Jude Law and Michael Caine the other day ... 6.9 / 10 ... I'm not a big fan of when stage productions are just put verbatim into film. The acting between only 2 characters still carried the under 90 minute film though.

Bachelor Party 2 : 6/10 ... brainless comedy partly funny
Outpost : 7/10 ... quite good acting, nice atmosphere and an unusual ending
Dark City : 6,5/10 ... someone consider this one better than matrix, someone prefer matrix, i'm with the latter ones, nonetheless this movie is worth to be watched
Android apocalypse : 4/10 ... crap
Alien 2: On Earth (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0078749/) : 4/10 ... old crap
Nomads : 5/10 ... yawn

G I Joe: The Movie

i had never seen this before... wasnt even aware of it existing until someone listed it as one of the greatest animated films along side transformers, rock & rule, orin, and heavy metal...

what the fuck was he smoking? seriously? now im not saying this was an unwatchable shitty film or anything, but holy crap it was pretty damn bad... and not cheesy good, but just really stupid. maybe its because i never saw the tv series? perhaps its because im not an american? i know its not because i hate joe, i used to have shitloads of these action figures (yes, action figures... not TOYS, - ACTION FIGURES -!!) when i was a kid... i had some good memories watching the film... all the vehicles that i had or that friends had, some of the to-...action figures... that i had... i guess i knew i was in trouble when i heard the opening theme song... and well it didnt get any better.

this sure as shit doesnt belong beside the great animated films, thats for sure...

4.5/10 - it gets the score that it did because it gave me some good memories, and i pretty much find enjoyment in anything cartoon'ish, especially from that era, but damn, this is not a great film, and ive felt no remorse deleting its ass from my pc.

and if i hear YO JOE! one more time, i swear im going to throw up. and yes i said 'hear', not whatever you jackasses type Wink

i also saw 2 korean films:
Tube: i like korean films but man this was a seriously shitty film... 4.5/10, purely because it had 1 or 2 entertaining sequences... some films you find yourself wanting the 'hero' to die, and the bad guy to win... you KNOW a films in trouble if you seriously dont give a fuck who does what or what happens to who.... this was a korean film that tried to be an american film, but would have made even hollywood studio execs ashamed.

Shadowless sword: quite enjoyed it - 6.5/10
