I used to use Ares for downloading the odd MP3 when I didn't feel like leeching a full album.. but I got rid of my PC today and got a Macbook.
Anyone recommend me any software that supports Mac? Ares is windows based only.. so gutted cos I loved the interface and simplicity of it.
Haven't heard about Ares till now, I googled it... looks like Limewire might be what you are looking for.
If you are looking for torrent client give Transmission a try
Also you can install Windows XP on your Macbook under VM such as Parallels Desktop, VMware, VirtualBox(free) and use whatever windows app you may need.
Leopard + VM + Spaces = AWESOME
For example on my MacBook Pro I use Parallels Desktop and switch to WinXP running fullscreen in another space via CTRL + 2 and back to Mac OS X via CTRL + 1.
