Anybody know how to fix this known problem?
This started some time ago since i replaced my motherboard, which was dead.
havent found a solution yet :S,
I constantly get this crackling noise,
it sounds very bad, just like fireworks.... and constantly...
Right now i've put it in my new system,
(WinXP
ASROCK 4-CORE DUAL SATA 2
E6600
2GB²
SB Audigy 2 Platinum)
and its still there, maybe even worse.
now im forced to use onboard sound, which sucks...
What wrong?
Card defective?
Tryed allmost everything i could think off,
Latency tool, Diff PCI slots,Drivers . . . etc, nothing works
When i boot into windows, with no drivers installed, everything is fine.
when theyr installed,it starts crackling.

I've heard of these problems with the old Audigy in the past but never encountered it. If you can return the card I would - I've had an Audigy 2 zs platinum that didn't work on delivery but the replacement did.
Did you disable in bios the onboard sound whilst using the Audigy? In my opinion the sound quality (and increase in FPS in games) is worth the trouble to get it fixed but I always have problems with the drivers with Creative products, it's appalling.

Try it with headphones. Could be the cables of your speakers.
