From top clockwise: EarthWorm Jim, Drow from Dark Alliance, concept art of Fallout Online, Coil from MDK.

There'll be a new 10-Q up in about two weeks (supposedly), we'll learn more then.

I want some more EarthWorm Jim.

And I want the old, real Black Isle Studios reformed and have them make Fallout 3 properly and Baldur's Gate 3 as well...

GameSpot reported on November 13, 2007 that Interplay, using money from its sale of the Fallout IP to Bethesda Softworks, is going to restart its in-house game development studio and Interplay has plans on developing sequels to some of its classic IPs contingent on if it can secure financing.

That probably won't happen. Razz

Good, one of the few companies that rocked especially with unique games at that.

The closest thing that you're going to get, unfortunately, is a sequel to Wasteland (Which was the spiritual predecessor of the Fallout series). It has been confirmed by Brian Fargo, one of the creators of the original Wasteland and the Fallout series.

MDK was so wonderful. A strange world and an even more strange hero. Innovative controls and encounters.I feel nostalgic.

Interplay just published these games, they never made them - and if it's the same management that fucked up before I can't see them emerging from the ruins with any credibility.

Yeah at least we'll have that and Dragon Age from Bioware, so all is not lost yet. As for Interplay, I'll be surprised if they actually manage to do anything decent before going belly up again.

I wasn't aware of Dragon Age. Just read a little about it and it seems to be the spiritual successor to Baldur's Gate. So that's great news. And also its Bioware so thats great also.
It's too bad that Bioware didn't get the Fallout license. While they're not the ideal studio for Fallout (that would be obsidian), they're definitely a better choice than Bethesda.

I also gotta say that I'm pretty intrigued to see what would become of Fallout Online...

HMmm MDK 2 developers weren't even the same as original MDK...

Although original MDK developpers developped the shitty game called Enter The Matrix (Shiny Ent.)... But I liked Messiah from them.

Why would I want to give scumbag Herve Caen my money after his retarded decisions in the past (cancelling the original Fallout 3 for a follow-up to the awful Brotherhood of Steel console game, yeah, great move)?

Burn Interplay, buuuuurn. At least until that douchebag is out of there.
